Noelle + Richard: Whimsical New York Art Gallery Wedding by John Schlia Photography

Noelle and Richard were married at Artisan Works in Rochester, NY on June 7. The bride looked stunning in a V-neck chiffon gown with a sparkly bodice and wore her hair in soft curls. She carried a bouquet featuring red peonies, pink roses, poppy pods, scabiosa pods, and fern curls. Her ‘maids opted for navy blue wrap dresses and carried colorful blooms. The groom and he men wore black two-piece tuxes with skinny ties. The couple let the decorative venue speak for itself. “Every inch of the venue is covered in colorful artwork, so any attempt at a color scheme or theme would be white noise,” Noelle explained. “We wanted something lively and non-traditional.” The pair exchanged vows in front of their 114 guests in the art space. The guests received an “instruction manual” as a ceremony program, one of the ways the the couple incorporated their sense of humor into the ceremony. A reception followed, which featured tables with black tablecloths decorated with bold and textured floral centerpieces. Another unique aspect to Noelle and Richard’s wedding was that they brought their own alcohol. “Since our hobbies of beer and wine making play such significant roles in our lives, it was essential to our plans that we be able to serve them to our friends and family,” Noelle explained. After dinner guests indulged in a two-toned cake topped with flowers. The pair couldn’t have been happier with the way their day turned out. “We were brimming with love and elation that so many people who are so special to us came so far,” Noelle said. Lauren + Anthony: Green and Purple Italian-Inspired Arizona Wedding by Jillian Ryan Photography
Posted by Sarah Title. Filed under Real Weddings

Photos: Photo: Jillian Ryan Photography; Venue: Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe; Dress Designer: Galina from David’s Bridal; Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal; Groom and Groomsmen Attire: Macy’s; Hair Stylist: Jennifer Dew; Makeup Artist: Stephanie Neilheisel; Officiant: Jerry Laurmann

Lauren and Anthony were married at Cibo Urban Pizzeria Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona on April 6. The bride wore a strapless dress with a ruched bodice and a green and purple embroidered sash, her hair in relaxed curls. She carried a bouquet of succulents, mums, baby’s breath and assorted greenery. Her ‘maids donned green floor-length strapless dresses and held bouquets filled with baby’s breath, mums, and daisies. The groom looked dapper in a purple-checkered button-up, paisley tie, and gray vest. His men wore green-checkered button-up shirts with khaki pants. The reason for all the green and purple? “Choosing colors was hard for me, but we decided on purple for our football team back home (The Ravens) and green is Anthony’s favorite color,” Lauren said. The intimate crowd of 75 guests gathered outside to watch Lauren and Anthony exchange their vows, which she says took them just 4 minutes. “That gave us more time to party,” she said. Guests headed off to the outdoor reception at the restaurant where a picture frame doubled as a seating chart, leading them to their seats. Colorful streamers decorated the outdoor area, and guests sat at banquet tables with cafe chairs and wire table numbers, which the bride’s brother made. “We both come from Italian families so we wanted to include that culture in a little bit, with Italian desserts, music, and the dinner,” Lauren said. After enjoying the Italian fare (pizza and pasta, yum!) the guests took advantage of the photo booth, indulged in a two-tiered cake with butter cream frosting, and took home personalized candles as a favor. “Our families mesh so well together, so it was just a big party all day,” Lauren recalled. “Our wedding was intimate, dreamy and so perfect, it could not have gone any better.” See the full board here.

Mindy and Tony were married at The Lafayette Hotel in San Diego, Calif. on April 12. “The day felt like it was something out of a storybook,” Mindy said.. “The beauty of our hotel/venue was what inspired the wedding’s Hollywood glam feel.” The bride wore a sweetheart lace a-line wedding gown with a tiered skirt, accessorized with a jeweled sash and fingertip-length veil, while the groom wore a tan suit, accessorized with a striped tie. “Seeing each other during the ‘first look’ was incredible!” she said. “It gave us the perfect quiet time for just us to see each other for the first time while still having beautiful moments during our ceremony.” Guests were greeted with a chalkboard sign that said, “There’s a guy and a gal here taking pictures; we asked them to come. So, please rest your cameras because we only need one.” The “unplugged” ceremony was decorated with mix ‘n’ matched vintage chairs and umbrellas hanging from the ceiling to give it a more whimsical touch. Following the nuptials, the reception was held inside the ballroom. Tables featured calla lily centerpieces, lanterns lit with candles, and personalized champagne flutes, which served double-duty as favors. In lieu of a traditional cake, cake pops were given out as dessert. Yum! See the full board here.

Angel + Jerry: A Whimsical Pastel Summer Wisconsin Backyard Wedding By Laurelyn Savannah Photography

Angel and Jerry were married at the bride’s parent’s home in Fennimore, Wis. on June 22. “The inspiration for the wedding actually came a lot from Pinterest,” Angel said. “I chose a pastel color scheme of pinks, whites, creams, and a little bit of greens and purples.” The bride wore a blush dropped waist wedding gown with a beaded bodice, accessorized with no shoes in lieu for henna, while the groom wore a pale blue button-up shirt, gray pants, suspenders, and a skull bow tie. Bridesmaids wore white long chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of baby’s breath. Guests were directed to the backyard ceremony with a wooden arrow sign post and greeted with a chalkboard sign that encouraged to pick a seat not a side. “OH MY! It was beautiful, the sun was out, the birds were chirping, and both the best man and maid of honor forgot the rings,” she said. “Thankfully, we didn’t have to go far.” To symbolize their unity, the couple chose to do a handfast in front of a paper crane altar arrangement. “Afterwards, we had enough time to snap a couple of photos before one of the biggest rain storms of the year hit,” Angel said. The tented reception was decorated with lace balloons and cafe string lights from the ceiling, but the tables were decorated with white linens, vintage china, and tree stump centerpieces that featured pillar candles. Our favorite detail? The ice cream bar with all the toppings! Yum. See the full board here.
