Danielle and Brad were married at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, Calif. on May 31. ”We wanted the wedding to be fun and unpretentious,” Danielle said. “We are both fairly casual and low maintenance people, so we didn’t want to go crazy over details, or kill each other.” The bride wore a strapless lace mermaid wedding gown, accessorized with a lavender sash, while the groom wore a gray three-piece suit, accessorized with a solid tie. Bridesmaids wore short sage green chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, sweet peas, and seeded eucalyptus. ”Whenever we go to weddings, we always sit through a long ceremony in the sun and think, ‘I wish I had a cocktail for this; I wish this was shorter.’ When we approached the wedding planning process, we decided to serve drinks beforehand and make the it short and sweet. We wanted to enjoy the time with our family and friends,” she said. Guests were also greeted with a chalkboard sign that said, “Today, two families become one. We ask that you please pick a seat and not a side.” Fun fact: Brad’s dad officiated the ceremony! Escort cards were attached to mason jars — a personalized favor combo. ”Since we were having the reception in a barn, we wanted to use rustic elements without making it feel like a hoedown,” Danielle said. Tables were decorated with wooden box centerpieces atop burlap runners, chalkboard numbers, charger plates, and menu cards at each place setting. ”I love horses and grew up riding horses competitively,” she said. “At the end of my sister’s speech, she brought out a mini horse named Dazzle that did tricks as our wedding gift. He was so cute, and it was such a surprise.” The newlyweds performed their first dance to Brad Paisley’s “Then,” and cut into a three-tiered buttercream frosted cake afterwards (without smashing it in each other’s faces).  Valerie Kevin were married at Falkner Winery in Temecula, Calif. last spring. ”My wedding day was beautiful,” Valerie said. “It was about 70 degrees outside, and the location where we got married had the sun shining right down on it.” The bride wore a a sweetheart satin wedding gown with a ruffled skirt, accessorized with her hair half-up/half-down in loose curls, while the groom wore a three-piece gray suit, accessorized with a black tie. Bridesmaids wore short chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of dahlias, calla lilies, berries, succulents, and ranunculuses. ”I had no real inspiration aside from a bouquet that I saw on Pinterest,” she said. “I met with my florist and she really came up with a beautiful concept.” Guests were greeted with a “Happily Ever After” wooden sign that welcomed them to the ceremony. Following the nuptials, ”our wedding party got introduced to the punk rock version of ‘Brown Eyed Girl,’ and we had our first group dance to “It Takes Two” by Rob Base, which kicked off a great party,” Valerie said. “Start to finish, it was a blast!” Tables were decorated with gray linens, red napkins, topiary-style centerpieces with hanging candles, chalkboard wine bottle table numbers, and cake pops at each place setting. Jamie and Matt were married at Hartley Botanica in Somis, Calif on October 12. ”On top of the physical beauty of our venue (I remember looking up and being amazed by the hanging yellow roses above me), our officiant was able to craft such a personalized ceremony since he knows us so well,” Jamie said. “We wanted to include a ritual, so we gathered sand from both of our hometowns and combined them into one bottle during a sand ceremony.” Keeping with their rustic yet casual backyard vibe, the couple opted for an outdoor reception all because of the twinkling lights that adorned almost every tree trunk! Centerpieces featured white hydrangeas, ranunculuses, craspedia, and succulents, while at each place setting, guests received a thank-you note written on seed paper. The best part? The s’mores bar and food truck that served warm, doughy churros in three different flavors at the end of the night. See the full board here.
