“After years of dating, ups and downs (mostly ups)… I took Rosann to the beach at Carmel, where the cliffs meet the ocean. We came to a spot where there is a rock out in the water, about 30 feet out and I asked her to come with me onto the rock. She said no way! So I picked her up and carried her out to hit and lifted her onto the rock. I got up on the rock with her, got on one knee, and took out a diamond ring. I recited the words that I had been repeating in my head all day and asked her to marry me.” – Josh
“My first reaction was laughter because I finally got why he was so insistent I get on that rock! I said ‘yes’ between laughs.” – Rosann
The Engagement Ring
Round diamond solitaire flanked by celtic knot designs. From Brilliant Earth.
Here's a photo I took of it next to wedding band. We picked out a simple platinum comfort band with a tiny diamond in the middle so as to not compete with the engagement ring's elaborate design.
