Please let me know if I did not give you credit on a picture, I do not really pay attention to where I get them from sometimes...I just collect.
My fiance, Henry, and I both agree we want the style of our June 5 Gainesville, FL wedding to be simple elegance. Of course, we want all our guests to have a great time...which is why it will be open bar! We are so happy with all of our vendors, they will definitely help make this into a day we will never forget.
To achieve this "simple elegance" we chose venues that needed little decor. Our ceremony will take place at the beautiful Baughman Center in Gainesville, FL. Not only does this place not need any decor due to the expansive windows that allow guests to see the natural beauty outside, but the Baughman staff does not even allow real flowers to be brought in...makes decorating very easy! because there will be none!
Steve's Cafe Americain, the reception venue, is also very beautiful on its own. The walls, floors, light fixtures, and other decorative elements that are already in the room allowed us to choose a very minimal decor style. We decided to go with an all white decor so that our wedding colors, light blues and chocolate brown, did not clash with the color on the wall. Of course, I have found ways to incorporate these colors into small elements such as table numbers, applique on the cake, wedding favors, and the seating chart that I made myself!
There is something about an all white table setting that screams elegance to me. I can not wait to see if our vision actually comes out in the final product! We will have to wait until June 5th to see.
This is the inspiration for our table centerpieces. It will be surrounded by 3 blue tealight candles and our blue/white/brown table numbers (DIY Projects post).
Yes, I took a camera phone picture of a magazine picture, I didn't want to spend $10 on the mag just for this picture!
Plumcrush01 inspired me to do centerpiece/arrangement on the bar. Such a cute idea:
My florist sort of talked me into one bouquet similar to this one, but I think I am going to bring this pic in for her to replicate, love it. Bouquet inspiration:
The bridesmaid bouquets will be small, simple white stalk with ribbon tied around the base that matches their dresses exactly (Michael's find!). This is similar to what they will look like, only ours will be white with different ribbon.
