Project Wedding wont let me list my New Zealand Vendors...So here they are - The good, the bad, the Fabulous and the Catastrophic!
Band - Dragonfly http://www.findaband.co.nz/dragonfly.asp - they rocked up an hour late and LEFT halfway through the reception for 2 HOURS! We had to get our MC to ring them and get them back. The music was good but I was livid and they didnt even apologise!
Shoes - Wittner http://wittner.com.au/shop/home.aspx Fabulous fit and still comfy at 1am!
Flowers - Waiheke Flower Company http://www.waihekeflorist.co.nz/ Lotta Aurthur was the best thing that happened to our wedding! Her advice saved us hundreds and the flowers looked so fresh and amazing. She went out of her way to make our day special! I highly recomend her!
Invitations -Papermarc http://www.papermarc.com.au/The lady assigned to print my invitations was also head of customer service, and she wouldnt even come downstairs to see me when I came into the shop. The invitations were late and there was no explaination why or even an appology. The invitations were flawless but I've received better service in fast food restuarants!
Our wedding bands: Peter Gordon http://www.petergordonjeweller.com.au/ Fabulous, really polite and quick with our unique order. He really knew what he was talking about in regards to jewellery! We love our rings and get comments on them all the time.
Other: Bodyart http://bodyart.com.au/ reasonably priced bling!
Officiant - Rachel Spencer http://www.unionwithpassion.com/ I cant recommend Rachel Highly enough! She was professional, well presented and extremely helpful. She helped us apply for a NZ wedding licence and with writting our vows. She attended our rehersal and traveled to our venue without complaint (and for the one low fee). AMAZING!
Photography: Bruce Gabbites of Fine Photography http://finephotography.co.nz/ I wasnt happy with the shots, I felt he was just going through the motions and didnt take any real personal shots of us. He missed the shot of me walking down the isle and we were only allowed to choose 11 photos for our albulm. For the $5000.00AUD we paid for him, I think I would have chosen another photographer if we did it again.
NOTE: The pro shots on my site are from a guest - Rohan Smith, who's just starting out, when he finishes his website I'll post it here.
Transportation: First Class Classics http://www.firstclassclassics.co.nz/index.shtml These guys were the best suppliers for communication and service. I never had to wait more than a day for a response to an email and the car added just the touch of elegance we wanted on our day. I give them 10 out of 10!
Videography: We hired a professional camera & had a friend film it for us. The camera was from Topic www.topicphoto.co.nz and these guys were really sweet - they let us pick up the day before and drop off the day after and only charged us for 1 day. Sweet as!
Wedding venue: Mudbrick Winery http://www.mudbrick.co.nz/ We planned our whole wedding around this amazing venue! We had our ceremony and reception here and our guests are still talking about it. The staff are so professional and the food and service are without a doubt the best we've ever come across. As world travelers we were prepared to go anywhere in the world to have the best wedding - Mudbrick was our 1st choice.
Wedding Bus: We hired a bus to pick up and drop off all our guests - a brilliant idea that ment everyone could enjoy the wine. www.waiheketransport.co.nz Ask for Jimbo - he's a charmer!
