I'm a Florida transplant who moved back up north and found the love of my life, Eric!!

Reception - Let The FUN Begin

We were lined up to be announced, the maitre'D was talking, the DJ came out to talk to us, and I piped up "Can everyone please be quiet?  I can't hear the music"  LOL.  Too classic and this was going to set the tone for me for the night.  We were announced, I don't remember much of the first dance, except that I was very nervous dancing in front of everyone.

Our first dance song was I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden.

"I Knew I Loved You"

Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
and there it goes
I think I've found my best friend
I know that it might sound more than
a little crazy but I believe

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
only this sense of completion
and in your eyes
I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for
I think I found my way home
I know that it might sound more than
a little crazy but I believe

[repeat chorus]

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I found you

[repeat chorus to fade]

I think after that DH had his first dance with his mom.  It was so touching and I was trying to hold back tears because I was sooo missing my Mom.

We sat down for awhile and began a game that DH and our DJ have done at many weddings.  The Napkin game.  I don't remember the entire game....all I know and remember is that there were napkins flying across the tables and people were jumping up out of their seats, and I've not laughed so hard in my life.

They sat us down for dinner, I remember eating my salad (which was fabulous by the way), more pics were being taken, then dinner came.  I only got to eat a little bit of that because the photog wanted to take more pics, people were coming up to us to talk, and then before I knew it, the music got really loud and that was the end for me.  I literally jumped out of my chair to get on the dance floor and I danced for almost the ENTIRE reception, stopping only for the cake cutting and a few more pictures.  Unfortunately, the photog almost got hit, as one of my HAD TO PLAY songs was started and she was fluffing up my dress and wanting to take pics of myself and DH.  I looked at him and almost lost it, saying "I don't want anymore pics, I want to dance."

I do remember asking someone what time it was at one point and when I heard 7, I thought they were lying to me, because at that point, I was so tired, all I wanted to do was lie down somewhere.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART OF THE RECEPTION WAS A GROUP HUG at the end of the night, where our DJ had DH and I come out to the middle of the dance floor, had everyone line up in a circle around us (mind you, I had NO CLUE of what was about to happen), and then on his mark, everyone rushed into us and gave us a "Group Hug".  This was probably the funniest wedding I have ever been to and I am seriously not saying that because it was ours.  I just truly hope that everyone else had just as much as us.
