Welcome to my bio!
Hello! My name is Steph -I met Ross during the summer of 2007 at the overnight summer camp I'd been working at for six years. That year the camp did something new -they brought over a group of staff from Europe to work at camps across North America. Ross is from England and it was his first time in Canada. When I first met him, I thought he was so nice and great with his 10 year old campers :) we were friendly for the rest of the summer and it stayed that way until the second last night of camp. I had started to develop feelings for him. That night, we were around the campfire and I decided to make a move -I laid down in his lap (on a very uncomfortable bench!) We talked for awhile and I discovered how funny and kind he is. The flirting ended for that night; the next day was the last one of camp -at the waterfront I found out that was going to stay in Canada for another couple of months to backpack across the country before going back to England. Now I'm definitely not spontaneous in the least and feel and I would never do what I did for anyone else. I asked him if he'd like company for his travels. He said sure! That night was our first kiss. I went home the next day knowing in my heart that I was going to at the least accompany him so we could get to know each other better. My mom thought it was romantic -my dad didn't like it. What if you don't get along he asked. I told him I would just take a train home. It turned out to be the best few weeks of my life (I came home early because my money was running out.) Before he went back to England, Ross stopped in at my house and met my parents. Our relationship was long distance with a couple of trips back and forth between England and Canada for the next year and a bit. He decided to move to Canada and the summer of 2008 he did. He moved to Toronto though I still lived with my parents about 4 hours away. We were then a lot closer than we were. I moved to Toronto in May 2009 and we've been living together since then. Ross proposed to me on May 14th, 2010 during a trip to Niagara Falls. Even though I totally saw it coming, I was blown away -and he picked out the ring all by himself! The rest as they say, is history. We're getting married on July 29th, 2011 in his hometown of Colne, Lancashire, England. It's been and will continue to be kind of hard to plan a wedding overseas so Project Wedding (and all of you!) have been incredible sources of inspiration. I hope you enjoy my page!
