I found this website by accident and have been pleasantly surprised at how helpful it has proven to be. I am not a first time bride, however, I have never truly planned a wedding. I met the love of my life two and half years ago and cannot wait to be his wife. That being said I was and still am completely unaware of how much goes into planning a wedding. I am slightly overwhelmed by all of the information that is out there but perhaps with the help of the members of this website, I can pull it together in a years time. I am so looking forward to this experience and most importantly to being an amazing partner and friend to the man that I absolutely adore!
After feeling a little less overwhelmed since finding my way around, in addition to all of the warm welcomes; I felt compelled to post a little more about the main reason I joined this site. For the last 10 and a half years I have remained single. This was partly by choice but mostly by chance. I was married for nine years to my previous husband who I shared beautiful children with. The marriage ended and unfortunately shortly after he passed away from cancer. My mother passed away six months prior to his passing so for the next several years I was just vacantly pushing through most of my days. Time however does lend to our healing and fortunately for me I was coming out of the darkness just in time to meet the man I assumed only exsisted in chic-Flics ;-) We worked together for over two years before I finally shared my feelings for him. I always assumed I would be taking those thoughts to the grave with me and never imagined I would be brave enough to share how I had fallen so deeply in love with him. To my surprise and sheer relief, his feelings were mutual and so it began! There has been a great deal of change for the both of us. Since our agency policy does not allow members who are in an immediate supervisory role to date another member in the same division it was necessary for me to transfer to a different poistion. That wouldn't have been so bad if I would have stayed in the same location but I was transferred to another building. It was extremely difficult since I was in the same position for 14 years and of course came to consider the individuals I was working with my family. He was ABSOLUTELY worth it and I always tease him by saying he kicked me out of his office and into his life :) He has brought so much to my life and to the lives of my children. The man I prayed for, the man I promised I would take care of and love with everything I have inside...finally arrived! He is my entire world and I am so honored of his desire for me to be his wife. I look forward to sharing my experience with you all in addition to having the privelage of sharing yours. You are by far the most beautiful man I have ever known Jim! I love you sweetheart and can't wait to marry you!
