We just booked a trip back to our mini-honeymoon place (Big Sur) and I'm so excited! What are you "marrieds" doing for your first?
It depends on whether or not DH gets time off between rotations. I would love to go on a trip somewhere tropical. We just celebrated our 6 month anniversary yesterday! Just 6 more months till the big one year!!!
I'm not even married yet, and we are already planning our 1st anniversary trip! Lol... It's probably going to be a cruise, maybe exotic southern Caribbean or Panama Canal...
We are too! LOL We are thinking of going to Vegas...unfortunately our wedding anniversary is always going to fall on spring break lol so no crazy cancun anni for us
We just got married in November so we haven't even started considering it yet but I was thinking of getting b-pics done for our 1st anniversary because I didn't do it for the wedding.
we will be moving and buying a new house around our 1 year anniversary because thats when our lease is up so no vacation for us that year
we will be doing a TTD session, and hopefully buying a new car. We might try to plan a longer vacation, like to europe (if we do'nt end up going to our HM) :)
Not married yet, but already planned a trip to Vegas for our 1 yr anniversary! I've never been there, he's been once, and I think we'll deserve a kick A$$ good time trip after all of this wedding/moving stress! Then we'll try for a baby!
We are going to stay at the Resort where we got married for a couple of nights. I was just SO busy with all the wedding stuff last year, that I did not really get to enjoy the resort. So, the plan is the reminisce and relax! Then the following weekend, my husband's sister is getting married at the same location.
Is anybody planning to give some kind of "paper" gift to their husbands?
marin!! we're not even married yet!! but i owuld like to take fh to the philippines and stop in hongkong for a few days on the way back
paper gift?? hmmm maybe a dollar bill if he's an excellent husband during our first year? haha
We'll be going back to Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where we got engaged :) We've decided on no gifts for our wedding anniversary - just travel! We'll continue to celebrate our dating anniversary with gifts, since it's so close to Christmas and it's been like our own private holiday.
We wanted to take some professional anniversary pictures so we decided to do a TTD photo session on our actual anniversary day and they came out beautiful. We also had the TTD photo session videotaped. Afterwards, we stayed the night at the Arcadia Hilton where we had spent our wedding night. We even requested the same room we stayed in on our wedding night and we got it!!!
we will be in Iraq so no fun 1st anniversary for us... sad!
We're going to Vegas! It's our favorite vacation spot!
For the "paper" gift- I am enlarging and framing some of his favorite beach shots of our honeymoon in Mexico. He was crazy about taking pictures of the amazing blue water and just the whole shoreline.
Dirty - My DH would be so confused if I gave him a dollar! =)
JD - I love Ashland! We go almost every summer. That's so cool that you got engaged there.
I want to go on an exotic trip! I dont know where. Or else have a weekend in a snowy cabin.
I've been thinking about this lately. Both of our careers are pretty demanding right now, so I don't think we'll do a trip. If we do, it will be only for the weekend.
MarinBride, I've been thinking about the whole "paper" gift, but I can't think of what. I already did the boudoir pics for the wedding...hmmmm. Not sure yet.
*Anyone planning to save the top tier of the wedding cake for the first anniversary???
We didn't plan on saving the top of the cake but our caterer did anyway. I think we might eat it on our 6 month anniversary or on Valentines day. I think it will be so gross after a year (if it isn't already).
IDK? Depends if I am pregnant by then.... Odds say yes so maybe the St Regis Hotel and massages!
hopefully on a little getaway somewhere makin a baby if we havent already! as for a paper present...maybe b-pics if i havent already!
