1st RE appointment today!
Today is CD43 with no AF and BFN's...(so frustrating). My cycles are so wacky! IUD removed in beginning of May and my first cycle was 47days (neg OPK). 2nd cycle was 33 days with neg OPK, and this cycle is already 43 days. I just want my body to do what it's supposed to do. Not even just for fertility sake. I just want a normal rhythm!
Anyway, DH and I went to the RE today for the first time and he is concerned I may have PCOS and/or hypothyroidism because my last thyroid lab from my PCP was borderline and I have alomost all the symptoms. We had to conceive with a RE last time but they never tested anything like this.
So, he of course checked an HCG and it was neg, he put me on Provera to force a period and I have to call them on CD1 and schedule a Saline Infused Sonogram and a Femvue of my uterus on CD 7-11. On CD 3, I have to start taking birth control for one month!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!
I understand why, but I started laughing when he told me that. I said "who goes to a RE office to get pregnant and gets prescribed a birth control pill?" :) He's doing it to flatten my crazy wacky hormones down to a flattened level so that he can adjust them to where they are supposed to be. Next month's cycle, we will start taking Femera and the Ovidrel injection to TTC. Ahhhh! I'm sad that there will be a month of testing (because Femera and Ovidrel worked on the first cycle for us last time we got pregnant), but happy that I will finally be diagnosed and also find out if I may have a thyroid issue.
Just wanted to share ;) Thanks for listening!
