3 weeks for my dress...and they won't store it

Okay, so I am a little upset...not sooo bad its not the end of the world...but, I literally ordered my dress 3 weeks ago and was told it would take 3-4 months to get it. Well, yesterday I got a call from the dress shop...its already there...I was a little giddy...but my wedding isnt until May....May....and before then I will be moving, and I have no closet space...(thanks to MsGlamour) I think I will store it under the bed...but still...

So, I called the store today...and they will only hold it for 2 weeks...

I asked the nice lady on the phone if they could hold it for me longer, since she was the one who told me that it would take at least 3 months...and she said yes she remembers...but she cant do anything. So, I am wondering...if I should try to speak to a manager about holding it? or just pick it up and be on my way?

I was also going to buy my veil, and rent my crinaline and use their recommendation for alterations...part of me thinks I should just find these things elsewhere...

Im not sure, what would you guys do?

I would still ask. But then what if they mess up and later can't find your dress or something?( sounds ridiculous, but weirder things have happened) Is there anywhere else you can store it? I am keeping mine at my mom's house. I am picking mine up tomorrow even though they only hold it for three weeks. I would rather have it at home.

I second redluv. I wouldn't trust leaving it at the bridal shop for too long. I personally stored it at my parent's house until the wedding, because they have much more space.

I agree with pp. The shop where I ordered my dress offered to store my dress till the wedding but I'm too paranoid. So now it's sitting in my closet. Hope you can find a place to store it.

I'm with PP's. I wouldn't be opposed to asking for an added couple of weeks. Beyond that, I worry about various things that could go wrong. If you should ask them to store your dress, let them know your plans (veil, crinaline, etc).
