Me! me! I'm totally on to homemade beauty stuff!

My last obsession is a hair mask with honey and coconut milk. I am telling you it is AMAZING! It will make your hair so shiny you will not believe it!

Mix honey and coconut milk (from a can its fine) in equal proportions and massage it to your hair, rub it with a plastic membrane (like the one you use to put on food) and let it for as long as you can.

I use it on clean hair. I wash my hair the night before and let it dry with no hairstyle products on it and the next day I do the mask. It can be a little messy so I usually were my cleaning-the-house-outfit. But it’s totally worth it, trust me!

Also have a facial treatment to make your skin bright!

What type of skin do you have?

Ow! Also you can do a body scrub with olive oil and sugar that will make your body feel soft like a baby’s! Mix a cup of sugar with a little olive oil just enough to make it wet) and rub it on your skin while you are in the bathroom. If you have a bathtub, fill it with water and sit in it with the oil and the sugar still on you. If not then sit in the shower as long as you can and let the steams from the water do their thing.

It is slippery so be extra careful in the bathroom ok?

But I guarantee you your skin will be heavenly after this!

I am so loving this treatments that I will give them as presents to my girls on my bridal shower!

So if your face skin is very delicate I would put a face mask with yogurt and rice flower or oatmeal! Or if you want just yogurt will be fine!

Ow I forgot to tell you: Do shampoo your hair after the mask as normal. Same with the body scrub.

Lots and lots of water!! You will be amazed what it will do for your skin and how much you will glow!

I would avoid anything you haven't tried before - no new face scrubs or treatments, you don't want to have a reaction right before your big day! If you regularly use scented lotions, you could try a tinted one like Jergens, Nivea or Aveeno (something gentle) that will give your skin just a hint of color. Try it on the back of your hand the night before you put it all over to make sure the color is ok. It doesn't look orange or stain, I use it every day and it takes a good week to even show any kind of color.

Treat yourself to a professional mani/pedi. This doesn't have to be super expensive but let someone else pamper you a bit, you will feel relaxed and beautiful!

And try to get a few good night's sleep before the weekend, it will help you physically and mentally.

HTH!

Sleep, Sleep, Sleep!!! I didn't sleep at all the weeks before my wedding so try to sleep as much as possible. And get a good night of sleep the night before and eat a good breakfast.

I echo what the other ladies have said--plenty of sleep, plenty of water, and definitely get a professional manicure and pedicure.

Also, I have a favorite homemade lip scrub that helps your lips stay soft and pretty.  Take 1/2 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon white sugar, and 1/2-1 teaspoon of fresh squeezed lime juice; mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl until just combined.  Use a spoon, small paintbrush, or your fingers to apply.  Rub it in, and repeat the process until your lips are smooth.  After wiping it off, apply your favorite lip color or lip balm.  The great thing about this is that it not only works, but since it's natural, it's kind of tasty, too!

Also, the day of the wedding, eat something light!  I remembered my grandmother telling me stories of how the only thing she ate the day of her wedding was a doughnut and she was starving!  So the morning of I had some fruit, some yogurt, and a small danish with a glass of orange juice, and for lunch my ladies and I had sandwiches and tea.  It was filling yet light enough to where we didn't get sick!
