Affordable uplighting and/or sound companies in the LA/OC areas

Hi ladies,

So after seeing wedding pics of receptions with professional lighting, I am completely sold on the idea. Does anyone know of affordable companies in the LA/OC area? I've gotten a quote from one company but need to gather more quotes.

Also, how about an affordable sound company to provide sound for my outdoor ceremony?

Thanks in advance!

We got our uplighting and pinspots from Lifetime Weddings (they're in Westminster).  Our uplights were I believe $25 each).

We hired Fly By Night DJs in Huntington Beach for our DJ they were about 1K for 5 hours of service.

Hope this Helps!

Wow, that is a great rate by Lifetime Weddings!  Does that include breakdown or travel fees?  That's the lowest I've seen! Wish I found them.

I booked Atmosphere events (reviews here in PW) in Anaheim.  They charge $200 for 6 uplights and that includes travel, set up, breakdown, etc.  I booked 18 uplights.

I booked Atmosphere too...for lighting and DJ services.  Pretty reasonable prices.  I booked 5 hours of DJ time and 18 uplights for around $1600...

Geoffygirl - I think we had to pay a little extra for setup and tear down.  I can't quite remember.  But we spent about 900 for 25 uplights and 2 pinspots.

We got the custom gobo (monogram thingy on the dancefloor) from our DJ company because it was cheaper.  We are paying $200 for it.

Pinspots are the lights use to highlight a specific area like a centerpiece, floral arrangement, cake table.  We got two of them one for the sweetheart table and the other for the cake table.

We got the custom photo 56868-1

We used Jack The Music Man for our DJ and he also did all our uplights, Gobo light, pin lights and also the added gobo stars for the ceiling. His prices are very affordable and I highly recommend.

We paid about $15/uplight our cherry blossom gobo was about $100 and the gobo stars on ceiling was $80 and we did 6 of those to cover most of the ceiling our total including all the lights, labor and DJ was $1480. His website is www.tmmpro.com. Good luck!
