do you mean like a wireless card?  does your new laptop have a built-in one?

I don't think it has one build in. I just got it on sat. DUnno anything about them. I was told when I called bestbuy that I had to buy one, then I could get the Internet anywhere I went. Soo confusing!

you should be able to get one through your cell phone company - that way you can keep all your billing together.

hmmmm..it must not have one if they suggested you buy it...can you find the specs for your model online anywhere?  unless you're going to be out in the wilderness and need internet, you can just use the cables that came with it....

Jess if you want to go completely wireless then yes you will need an aircard unless one is built into the machine.

Getting set up with an aircard is much like having a cell phone plan: you buy the card, activate it, and pay a monthly fee (usually have a year or two-year contract too).
