ALEX`shoes, please vote

so, well, we decided to get Alex shoes for his birthday  and we had eyed a pair of church´s. they are 400 euros and we would get a bit of discount.

But today I strolled around a bit and found a little shop which makes handmade shoes for gentlemen. and they have a pair that looks nearly the same. they are 177 euros ,so that is a huge difference.

they are fine quality as well.

which shoe would you get?

they also look quite similar. I thought we may go with the traditional handmade ones if he likes them too. the saving is worth it and we may use the money left towards another shirt, since the one he got as a gift is too big and my dad  may use it instead

They honestly look so similar that I would save the money and go with the cheaper pair. :)

the only thing Icould notice is that the church´s shoe is a tad heavier but I think that this is a shoe he will wear for our wedding and for occasions like the opera or special dinners. so I guess, the other could be just as fine. it is a handmade artisan shoe, I think the quality should be up to it.

I really would love to see them on.

hope they suit his happy feet. :-))) alex is all the boney type but his feet and hands are soft icebear paws. this is why he always suffers in shoes ;-))) but i think the have different widths. so that will surely do

Handmade might be better quality and last longer.  I would go with those.  (And it doesn't hurt that they are cheaper!)

sioux, you are right "doesn't hurt one bit they are cheaper" ;-))

phelps , he is quite a snugglepup, he doesn't know yet, but he will have to bind his bow tie alone. I refuse the pretied ones :-)))

katia my shoes will hardly be seen , only the points, but I thought it looked pretty nice when they measured the hem :-)))

I have to agree with the other ladies!  I have been staring at both for five minutes and I can't see a difference.  I would go with the ones that will save a buck!
