Always ambitious....

I just did the math and I'm averaging about 2600 calories a day but my BMR is only 1820 and I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle. That's almost 800 calories more than I should be eating a day. HOLY hell. Not healthy, that's like 2 lbs a week gaining. At this rate I would be upwards of 250lbs by Christmas and, if I kept this diet up, my weight gain wouldn't plateu until I reached almost 400 lbs and that's only in two years time.  I always wondered how the "morbidly obese" let themselves get to that stage and now I can see how easy it would sneak up on you.


So frankly, since the wedding, I've been super lazy lately and have subsequently been gaining weight. I haven't even been trying to diet, I've been drinking like 2 cokes a day, I haven't been excercising, I've been averaging about 1 bottle of wine to myself a week, lots of cheese, lots of fat, lots of sugar....15 lbs heavier than I was at our wedding 8 weeks ago.


I'm putting my foot down ladies. Even if I ate 1800 calories a day starting tomorrow and did absolutely no excercise I would lose 2 lbs a week starting off. I'm going to do this, for real this time. I'm not letting myself go.

Princess. . .I think you are BEAUTIFUL!  You can do it - you've definitely done the right thing by scaring yourself (hate to put it that way) and being honest about your diet. 


I bet those newlywed pounds come right back off. . . .

MB: I, unfortunately, find it really hard to be motivated to lose weight without some form of self-loathing to drive me. For the first time in my life I feel 100% comfortable in my own skin and it was sabotaging me as twisted as that is! This put the fear of flab back into my heart; you're right it was the right thing!

I am right there with you girl. I had an eating disorder in high school and have struggled with it in college and have ALWAYS hated my body, im talking since i was in 5th grade. Im finally happy with my body and I think im beautiful and now im gaining weight...UGH what the crap is that. When i finally feel confident in my own skin I start to gain weight. We can do it...my slap in the face was my dr. telling me that the if i wanted to know why i kept gaining weight to look at my mom. She is overweight because of her disease but my dr. was saying that because she is overweight I will be.


We can do it!
