Am I rushing into IVF?

I just had my appointment with my acupuncturist yesterday.  She’s definitely not a warm and fuzzy person, more like an abrasive and condescending mother in law.  I told her that I finally scheduled my IVF for the beginning of July and she scolded me!  She basically told me that my body is not nearly ready to hold a baby and that I need to take more sessions.  When I asked her how much longer she said she couldn’t say, that it depends when my body is ready to heal.  This is extremely frustrating to hear and I basically cried after she put the needles in and left the room.  We’ve been trying for two years, had my right tube removed in back in December, and had gone through four IUIs earlier this year.  Do I believe her?  Is she right?  Should I postpone my IVF?  My RE says I should be ready to go for it.  I’m so unsure of what to do.

IMO, no, you are not rushing. But, remember, both the acupunturist and the RE are in BUISNESS to make money....take me, started seeing RE, did 2 cycles of IUI with meds right away....nothing....was set to do IVF, then moved our of state...then got pregnant on my own with no meds, no acupuncture, no pre-seed, nada! But I do think after 2 years you need to do something more aggressive...but only you know when you are truly ready.

Mentally, I am ready.  I want to do this.  And DH wants to do this too, he doesn’t want to postpone.  But I also want to make this one count, which means I want my body at its optimal condition and which is why I have been giving acupuncture a try.  Maybe I am over thinking this and placing too much value in what she says.  As for my RE, I kinda dislike him too.  Not warm and fuzzy either but I don’t want to leave him because his office has the highest IVF success rates in the city.  Maybe I’m just all around overly sensitive.
