Anniversary Celebrations??

Hi girls,

I remember we discussed this but i can't find it or remember. But since today is our 2nd anniversary I realized its also our last anniversary as a "Non-married" couple! Does anyone still celebrate your dating anniversary after marriage? Since we're getting married in June, can we celebrate next August one last time or do you think this is our last time? Ahh.

I think the dating anniversary goes out the window after you get married, us girls are pretty good at keeping track of dates, but men aren't, so lets try to make it easier on them.

OMG I forgot all of our anniversaries, but FI knows them all and he always has something. We have like 5 of them haha. They are all different events that happend with us but he still keeps track of them. When we tie the knot I have a feeling that it will just add one more anniversary to the list :)

we usually celebrate the yearly anniversay but every month of that date, we would text each other saying "Happy Anniversary", its kinda nice to get a text every month that he remembers. it reminded me the dating stage where he brings home the roses feeling.

since we are marry now, we will just celebrate the wedding date and probably text each other for our dating anniversay.

I know that we won't celebrate the dating anniversary, but the date was kind of ambiguous for us anyway.  (We worked together and kind of eased into dating.)  I do have a friend though who renamed their dating anniversary "Romance Day".  They make sure that they go on a fabulous date that day every year.  It's been going on for five years for them and serves as a good reminder to take a break from the daily grind.  I was just joking last night that I will choose an arbitrary day to be our "Romance Day" and it will be a gift-giving holiday.  JK!

thanks jackie!

i'll be a little sad if we dont even recognize our datingversary. so i'll do like you girls suggested, maybe a "Romance Day" or little text. Something just to recognize it. But who knows, we may give that up after a couple of years and focus on wedding anniversary. you're right Chica, lets give the boys a break. lol.
