another "Milly" bride here...

hi all,

I've been having problems with Milly Bridal (I don't have my test dress even though they "promised" it'd be ready by May 28 and its a custom dress) -- here's my problem http://www.projectwedding.com/post/list/no-test-dress-with-5-weeks-left-until-the-deadline-i-gave-them   (btw I just sent them an email telling them to cancel my order and asking for a refund).

I've looked at the Dressilyme website and saw some dresses that looked close to my dress.  Does anyone know if they do a custom dress and how long it takes?  Or if I decide to order one of the dresses they have on their website but change the shape of the neckline & change the shape of the back (ie. zipper instead of corset) can they do that?

I emailed them with my dress design (it's actually not complicated; just change in neckline shape & the back) just yesterday but I am hoping that their response time/customer service will be better than Milly's.  AND I hope they won't lie about when they can actually get the dress done just to get my business.

Also, do you pay for the entire dress up front or do you put a deposit then pay the rest when they give you the tracking number?  I actually ordered my wedding invitations internationally too and they never asked for $$ upfront.  they ask for a 50% deposit then the remaining balance just when they've printed the invitations and ready to send it to me.  I thought that Milly asking for everything up front was odd...

hi there! Mine was totaly custom made from 2 dresses. You can have anything as long as you can explain it! Just give them the exact instructions how to make it and they do it! The customer service was awesome and quick. Also my dress took 28 days all in all. Thats very fast and i love my dress so much! You have to pay the full price before they make it.

if you have any question, ask me :)

I send them an email customer-care@dressilyme.com  with details on the custom dress yesterday. haven't heard back yet.  how long does it usually take for them to get back to you?

If I want my dress to arrive by May 28 or the week of June 1,  I'll need to order it within the next 2 weeks!

I'm just so hesitant to go with another online shop that seems too good to be true after being "burned" with Milly Bridal :-(

Hi Aye, I sent them an email too asking for a quote and I found their response email in the junk folder after 2 days. They replied within 24 hrs, just that it might go into the junk box, so make sure to check that too.

i actually emailed them yesterday morning then got impatient (i'm normally not like that but this entire situation with Milly has gotten me freaked out).  sent another email an hour ago & changed the subject heading so they know i need info asap.  got a response just now saying that they sent my email to the production department for pricing and to wait 1 - 2 days.

you're right rmeshell & kakayoyo - they're quick to respond!

I just hope they are also like that after they get our money!  Milly was like that in the beginning... :(

My questions were asked after they got payment I did not want to confuse anyone so I paid and then sent detailed messages about minor changes. I also asked for pictures but because it only takes a few weeks to make the dress they said they do not take out the time to do so I hope that sets you at bit at ease...hopefully this will be a good experience for all!!!

I only contacted them through their online system after creating an account. I always received a response in less then 24 hours. Sometimes sooner. The few times I did get direct emails from them (confirmations, shipping emails, etc. ) instead of using their online message system they did go into my spam folder as well.

I always got answers within 24 hours also. I used the online system, and the email address. Don't forget to check the spam bucket. And, they were super nice and quick after they got the money too.
