Anyone from the Gulf Coast?

My fiance and I found a nice condo on the beach in Florida on the gulf coast close to Pensacola. My question is, is it warm enough to swim in the gulf during the 1-2 weeks of May?? TIA!

Bumping for you, since I'm from Kansas and have pretty much no knowledge of the gulf coast whatsoever... ;)

YUP! I went to high school near Clearwater- a little south of Tampa on the Gulf Coast. It definitely is warm enough to swim in May!!

That's great you found a condo- to rent or to timeshare or to buy?

Thanks! The condo is to rent. Where we are staying is further north than Tampa and Clearwater. It's close to the Alabama boarder. Haha Maybe Gulf Coast wasn't correct? I'm too far north to know any better!

Yes, I live in Alabama, but Im 40 miles north of Florida and about 1.5 hours from Pensacola Beach. I went to Pensacola Saturday and the high was around 80. That was a mid-March temp so of course it'll be in the mid to high 90s in May. That doesn't even include the humidity.
