Anyone have a unique bridal party?

So my FI and I have been figuring out the bridal party. I have already asked my girls, but he isnt quite set on who to ask for his side. We are having 4 on each side. He' doesnt have very many "close" guy friends so he wants to ask a female friend of ours. I love her to death- and was initially a friend of mine, but we have all become one tight knit circle of friends. I love the idea of having her stand on his side, but now want to add a "bridesman" to my side to balance it out. Don't mind it being offset, but i think it would be cute/ funny to have one of each on opposite sides...

Has anyone every been to a wedding with a non traditional bridal party? Anyone think its a great idea??

I just went to a wedding that had 9 groomsmen, 7 bridesmaids and 2 bridesMEN

During the processional, all the GM filed in from the side, and then all the bridespeople walked up the aisle one by one.

During the recessional, the GM and bridespeople matched up to walk double back down the aisle - so there were of course 2 guy-guy matches.  Instead of taking each others arm like you would with guy/girl - they met, shook hands, and then walked side by side.  It got a round of chuckles and applause from the guests and was a funny and enduring moment.

it's always a great idea to have your "besties" up there with you showing their support...

close freidns and fam dont come in pairs in real life - why should the bridal party??

only if you guys "care" so much about the "symmetry" in the pics - but even that is kinda lame excuse to "fill up" the bridal party spots...

no matter if it's even or not, more guys than gals, more gals than dudes, if theyre who you want up there supporting you, then go for it!!
