Anyone watch Pregnant in Heels?

I was feeling a little under the weather on Saturday, so I watched a marathon of this show.  Rosie Pope has fertility issues and its sounds like she has been through a lot of treatments ladies in this group have been through with meds, IUI, etc.  She has one child and they tried for a while for another and couldn't get pregnant.  After other failed procedures, they went to IVF, became pregnant and were overjoyed.  But it turns our she had an ectopic pregnancy and they had to rush her into surgery to remove one of her fallopian tubes.  After they allowed for some healing time, she and her husband were considering another round of IVF.  Before they started, she goes to the Dr. because she is feeling strange, he does an u/s and she is pregnant.  No IVF, no meds, nothing... it's crazy!!  I found the story very uplifting and wanted to share it with you ladies!! :)

I am addicted to that show and I was SO SO SO happy for her!! She is around all these pregnant women who don't even appreciate how special it is to be pregnant and she was dying to get pregnant....she deserves it so much!

i just started...marathon today....i didn't realize she had fertility problems either...she had a "divided uterus" which we had heard about from our RE....not my particular problem....

after doing 2 unsuccessful IUI's with injectibles then actually getting pregnant on our own with no meds or procedures was just crazy....so i do know that miracles happen....however, we are still waiting for ours....that one ended in a blighted ovum and then we got pregnant a second time and discovered the baby had Down Syndrome and chose to terminate....

i do admire the fact that she is able to work with all of these pregnant women....i still find it somewhat difficult to see my pregnant friends....i'm happy for them but so sad inside about our situation....

I think the worst part about it is there hasn't been one woman on there (that I have seen) that loves being pregnant. I understand you are miserable in the end...but for the women who have struggled with infertility...you cherish every moment. Atleast that is how I have been...I have a love/hate relationship with that show because of those ungrateful women.

good for you!

it's so hard when i see posts (or people on tv or in real life) who only complain about it...they have no idea what others would give to be in their position...and i know they don't intentionally mean to be insensitive...people w/o fertility issues have NO idea what others go thru....

I might say that I'm sick to my stomach, which is a fact of the matter, but even so I am extremely happy to be pregnant!!  I have my share of rough days but I remain very positive about the whole experience.  It is a blessing to be pregnant, I was so worried it would not happen for me again, and I despise hearing women complain over and over about it.  I wish every woman would appreciate it as much as people who have struggled do!!

Jackie, I pray that you get your BFP and a healthy pregnancy in the very near future... you deserve that LO after everything you have been through!! *hugs*  Are you guys trying again?

I just started watching the show. Those woman make me so mad. When I was pregnant I was extremely grateful. I was always worried we wouldnt be able to have children (DH has some issues and I have a friend that has been through it all so I was always trying to be postive. But when we lost our baby I was even more shocked to find out it was a problem which me :(.

Allie I followed your TTC and so happy you are pregnant I hope the 9 months are wonderful to you!

Jackie my heart still heartbroken for you. I hope you conceive quickly and its a take home baby this time.

thanks Angie....and i'm so sorry for your loss too....it just stinks....

i have friends who have not been pregnant after trying for years....i often wonder if it would have been emotionally easier to have never been pregnant than to have gone thru what i've had to endure....if you ask those ladies, probably not....but i still wonder....and i still wonder how i'll ever be able to make it thru if something goes wrong again....

I just caught about 15 minutes of this and was floored by the couple of ladies featured. They were so ungrateful and just plain uninterested in the pregnancy or the baby that they will be responsible for in a matter of weeks. It made me very resentful. It must be so terribly hard for the main girl to be around people like this all of the time... I am really glad it worked out for her in the end.

Angie, I'm sorry about your loss. I read on one of your other posts that your BM's were not supportive at all and it made me so angry to read that. It just sucks and is salt to the wound... :(

Jackie, I really hope you and DH get your bfp soon.
I have never been pregnant and I don't mean to speak for anyone else. Just my own perspective here but I think it would have been worse for me to go through what you have gone through. I feel longing and sadness and frustration and loss too but my loss is an abstract one. A feeling of possibly missing out on what seems to come so easily to others and a sense of emptiness. I think if I had lost a pregnancy it would have devastated me. Right now, after 12 cycles of trying, I feel scared it will never happen and may one day have to grieve the lost opportunity to have biological children but I didin't have to go through the actual loss of my baby. My heart breaks for you and hope that you get a bfp soon and if that isn't it for you then I hope that the adoption process is the answer to bring a little one into your home...

I love that show!  I really like that she's willing to show her fertility struggles too. I thought she looked pregnant in the last few shows. Every time I've gotten pregnant except for once (I've had 3 miscarriages) it was unexpected, like it was for her.  It was always when I'd given up testing, charting, eating healthy, avoiding caffeine, alcohol and all the other things you're not supposed to do.

I agree that some of those women are hard to watch on that show.  It's hard for me to be around so many different situations because of infertility.  Sometimes at work I have to just leave the room because of all the baby talk and when I know someone who never planned to have kids has yet another...I just want to puke.

yeah...i just finished watching the last 2 episodes...she definitely looked pregnant in them and the previous one as well....which was confusing...then she went to the dr and they did a transabdominal ultrasound...which they would not have been able to do if she wasn't already a ways along....and they were "surprised"

but anyway, how great for them!

i really like that show! it took me awhile to figure out her accent and it was throwing me off. but it's nice to see a tv personality going through the same thing of sorts and having a happy ending.

Yeah, I bet they failed to notice that when they were putting the episode together... I noticed she had a belly too!  But maybe she found out she was pregnant that way and after she told the show they had her do a replay so it could be part of an episode?  I believe she went through the struggles she did, but yes, seeing her walk around with her little belly was confusing!

I love Bravo, but I haven't had a chance to watch this.  I used to watch a lot of shows like that, but I find right now I am just too sensitive to certain things like that, kwim?  I don't know what the future holds for us, and just hearing others voicing how ungrateful they are just irritates me.  The other day I was watching MTV and saw a commercial for 16 & Pregnant that a girl was asking if it was alright to loose weight during her pregnancy (I believe they said that she had an eating disorder).  I wanted to go through the TV and smack her in the face!

My favorite show so far as been Guiliana and Bill - I loved it even before we started having IF issues, because they are very real throughout all the good and bad times.  Now that I am experiencing IF, I can relate to a lot of her feelings that she was going through on the show.

Cat...i'm really sensitive to comments and anything pregnancy-related right now too....but i actually really enjoyed this show....you kind of have to take it for what it is....spoiled rich ladies who, for the most part, have nothing else to do but make unreasonable demands on Rosie....but one thing i noticed is that a lot of them are "older," and have had fertility treatments...so i was able to appreciate that....

however, i did have to stop watching "One Born Every Minute" on TLC....i watch the first few epsiodes back when i was still pregnant, but i quickly deleted my saved episodes and canceled the recordings when we got the bad news....
