Are Programs Necessary?

I am so stressed out right now! I have a million things to do that I wish were already done. My FH is no help at all and we get in a fight every time I ask for his help. I don't want to spend another 100 buck on programs when most will get left at the chuch anyways! Are they really necessay, or is there a super cheap way I can do it myself?

I tried Vista Print, but am not sure what to use on their size wise!

HELP! THANKS!

they're not necessary at all...i'm printing my own on standard sized cardstock that i cut in half the "tall" way...to make long skinny programs fastened with ribbon at the top....super cheap....

the only reason we decided to do them was to recognize some of our relatives that have passed, including my father....

In my opinion programs are never necessary... and, yes, they often get left behind and tossed. But they can be helpful to guests if you want to explain some wedding traditions or if no one really knows who knows who in the wedding party. We had programs because I wanted to explain the Chinese tea ceremony and food to my non-Chinese guests. That is the only reason we had programs. I also added a bunch of other info, but the sole purpose of the program was for the explainations.

There's a couple of pics in my bio. Ours were DIY with Kinkos doing the photocopying and collating. We did the design, paper cutting and assembly about a week before the wedding. Total was $70 for 100 programs. We only printed 100 for 160 guests... and I still have a few extras.

HTH! Good luck!

i'm not doing them!  we don't have any ceremonies or traditions that need explaining so we're saving the money for something else!
