Are you planning on having children right away?

I guess for me the Biological Time Clock has been ticking since I was about 27.  Fortunately, even though Fi is younger than me, he wants kids right away too (he gets starry eyed every time we see little babies-it's cute).  We're going to try to have children right away.  What about you?

Absolutely! In fact, I just went off birth control a few weeks ago and tonight will be our maiden voyage! I looked up an ovulation calculator and apparently tonight through next Thursday is the optimal time so we are going to have fun and hope for the best!

We did.  I went off the pill right after we got married and was pregnant about 4 months later.  The baby is due right after our 1st anniversary.

My condolences, par228.  And congratulations meanyprice!

I am 36, Fi is 42 and we plan on having babies ASAP.  In fact, according to the app on my phone, I will be ovulating the night of the wedding and our big joke is that we are locking ourselves in the hotel room and not coming out until we are preggers.

I've been off BC for awhile, but we have been trying to time it so I we won't get pregnant before the wedding.  Because of our ages and having been off the pill for several months without getting knocked up, it kind of makes me worry a bit, but I suppose there is a plan for everything : )

Nope!!  I am 30, but we are going to be waiting 2 more years.  We get married a year from yesterday, and I need to make 10 years at my current job before moving on, which means that I can get pregnant on our first anniversary!  I have baby fever horribly....

At 35, soon to be 36, I still feel like I have some "time" left, even tho the clock is most defin ticking ticking TICKING away.

I'd like to enjoy my time with my new Husband... and get settled in life first.  Even tho' we've lived together for nearly 3 years already, we've both had job changes, and he's been in school a lot of the time, so his career is about to change.  I'd like to get a house together (we currently live in my 1 bedroom condo) - so many balls in the air.  Having a baby right now wouldn't be ideal.

But IF it happened naturally... then we'd be overjoyed!  :)

My husband is more excited to start a family than I am -- but not by too much. =) I just can't help but worry a little about how my career will be affected, etc. but kids are definitely in the near-term plans. I told him I wanted to go to Disneyland one more time before we have kids, and guess what I got from him for my birthday last month? A trip to Disney World (and Harry Potter land!) to be taken in March! So yeah, he's anxious to get started, which gets me all mushy and clock-ticky, too.

Sometimes, though, I feel like I'm still too young to be thinking about kids, even though I'm obviously not! Like my dad would be mad or something, lol!

yes.  i want to have several children and would rather not have them right on top of eachother, so i plan to not use birth control once we are married.  since we are both virgins, that means we will not be using birth control at all.

No baby plans here. I already have a wonderful 9yr old daughter from a previous relationship and my "freedom by 40" plan is looking good lol. I am not anti kids I just don't like the idea of a 10yr+ age gap between siblings (for my own personal taste anyway). The Fi and I are finally getting settled down into our careers and I am looking forward to getting back to college and getting a degree. Plus, we love it being just the three of us and now that my girl is older we have all sorts of fun vacations and house plans in order.

However I do thoroughly look forward to playing auntie with all of my friend's bundles of joy and sending them home spoiled with all kinds of goodies.
