*** With any essential oils, if you are/might be pregnant, are on any medications or have health concerns, you should exercise caution and/or consult an aromatherapy expert.  :)

Here's a partial list of essential oils that are known for inducing that lovely state of "nothingness" that you ladies might want to try, if you haven't already!  They can used for aromatherapy spritzers (facial mists, room and linen sprays), hot bath blends, foot scrubs, skin care and lots of other uses.

Chamomile: Wild chamomile is not a true chamomile, but shares chamomile’s soothing qualities and is ideal for sensitive skin care applications. It's fresh, herbaceous aroma helps balance the changes that take place during menopause.

Clary Sage: Clary sage is a key ingredient in many skincare formulas. It has a sweet, soothing aroma with intriguing musk and wine-like nuances. This popular oil tones the skin, balances the emotions and lifts the spirit.

Lavender: Lavender’s perfectly balanced floral-herbaceous aroma provides an unmatched array of attributes - calming, relaxing, refreshing, toning and cleansing—making it the most popular oil in aromatherapy.

Patchouli: Patchouli oil is a thin essential oil with very strong spicy and earthy aroma that is great for reducing anxiety, stress and depression.  It has a balancing effect on the emotions and is often used in relaxation and for meditation.

Rose Absolute: With its rich and long-lasting floral aroma, rose is used extensively in quality perfumes as both an aromatic and a fixative. Diffused rose absolute will produce a stabilizing atmosphere during times of stress, anxiety and grief.

Sandalwood: Sandalwood is a valuable perfume fixative with a powerful earthy, woody scent. The oil is sacred in many traditions, renowned for inspiring insight and spiritual elevation. Dab a single drop on the middle of the forehead to inspire insight and emotional stability.

Ylang Ylang: The most popular use of Ylang Ylang essential oil is to relax oneself and alleviate stress. The warm, soothing scent offered by this oil is great for reducing stress, and will certainly brighten your mood.

The website that I got this info from is really useful with lots of different aromatherapy recipes that are easy to follow.

I use Japanese Mint oil for everything. To help me sleep, headaches, a couple of drops in a bath to relax, sore muscles it's amazing. (I even rubbed it into my very sore & very bruised butt last night after wiping out big time in my driveway yesterday!!)
