AW: Ceremony Music

I was talking to the Canon Lawyer (Catholic Church Lawyer) that is working on mine and FI's annulment, the other day about music choices.  I had to drop off the marriage certificate from my first marriage and figured she would know about the criteria for ceremony music in a church wedding.

I was hoping for something a little more contemporary to walk down the aisle, but I am told that will not be possible. At first my heart sank a little bit, but I'm now searching the internet for a few songs that will move me.   Kay (the church lawyer) told me to check out Trumpet Victory.  I love it!!!! My only drawback is that it is the song that Princess Diana walked down the aisle to when she married Prince Charles.  I can act like a diva from time, but I am no princess!

I do really love Canon in D, even though when I read about it on the internet, the consensus is that it is over used.  Do I really care?  I don't think so.

Air On G. I like it because it is different.

I find it really funny that I was a little disappointed and now I'm somewhat torn.

I would love to post links so you could hear them, but I'm at work and I'm not able.... sorry.

DH and his GM walked in to Trumpet Victory! I love it!

I also think that Canon in D is beautiful, and although I didn't use it, I love it every time I hear it. If someone is watching you walk down the aisle and thinks "Gosh this song is overplayed," then that person wasn't in the right frame of mind anyway ;)
