So, down here in Las Cruces, New Mexico we have had some terrible weather. That no one was perpared for- Our city doesn't even own snow plows!
So, needless to say, it has been pretty bad. Rolling blackouts, pipes frozen and bursting, no classes for the last three days. Our Governer even declared a state of emergency. So, In lieu of all that, I have a good story that I heard on the news, but can't find the actualy story, just the picture.
A man who is homeless saw this kitten nearly get hit by a car, and went and scooped him up. He has been keeping him safe and warm through the negative 4 degree weather at night, sometimes at the only shelter in town, though that is pretty at capacity.
This story made me cry, and I am trying to find this man so I can get him some things for the kitten. I want to get him some food for the kitten, and himself... I'm going to call the news station tomorrow to try and find him, but I KNOW I recognize him from the soup kitchen, since I work there sometimes. I'll call them second tomorrow. ANYWAY- here is the picture!
What a sweet man! and cute kitten! This just melts my heart.
