babysitter for reception??

i have a 4yo from a previous marriage and there are multiple families with kiddos attending so what do you all think about an insert into those specific invites stating that "childcare will be provided"?

that would probably be best...iif you want it limit it to just those few kids....if you put it on your website or something...it might open it up to WAY more people than you thought would bring kiddos!

I used to babysit and this is very common. Usually the babysitter will charge a certain amount per child. The price will also depend on how long the reception will be. I think it is great because the parents can enjoy the night. And the young ones get cranky easily so it is best to have them away from the party.

A friend of mine at work did this.  She did have specified on the reception card that it was "adult cocktail reception" however, she knew that some people would be coming from out of town, and would have no choice but to bring their kids.  So she arranged with the church and had a sitter there, with a set capacity for 10 kids.  She put a personal, handwritten note in the invites for the out of towners with children, letting them know childcare would be provided but that they had to reserve spots, and it was on a first come, first served basis.  It all worked out perfectly.

we are offering reception babysitting at our venue...it's a hotel. That way parents can run up to check on their kids.
