Back from my BFF's wedding in Florida! (pics)
Last night around midnight DH and I made it home to chilly Philly after five days in sunny North Redington Beach, Florida. My MOH had a DW on the beach, and it was so beautiful! I had to share a few photos, plus some things I learned:
- If you're having a beach wedding, ask someone to clear away the guests and gawkers! I understand that there will be other people on the beach during the wedding, but after the groom's parents walked down the aisle there was a pause for the bride and her father. At that pause, when "Pachelbel's Canon" began, some guy in a baseball cap holding a drink went running up the veranda steps into the hotel... straight up the bride's path! Then on the beach, there were people in Speedos and bikinis standing behind the arch - they are now featured in most of the wedding photos!
- Cute alternative to rice: The bride and groom gave out little "welcome" bags to everyone the night before the wedding, and included were mini-inflatable beach balls. We all blew them up to bat around when the new Mr. and Mrs. began walking back down the aisle :)
- If you are having fun with your spouse, someone will assume you're having an affair. DH and I made it to the airport for our return flight, afraid that our suitcases were too heavy. When both were weighed and below 50lbs, we high-fived and then jokingly chest-bumped. We were laughing, and then while we waited, DH put his arm around me and kissed my head. The woman behind the counter asked if we were newlyweds, and when we said "sorta" she responded, "You two are so happy and sweet together, I figured you weren't married or else were just married. Or honestly, married, but not to each other." Whoa!
Okay, so here are some pics of the gorgeous wedding and gorgeous bride! I feel like a proud mama!
This is where we stayed and where the wedding was held :)

I loved the arch and parasols... and view!
See what I mean about the weird bikini lady in the middle of their faces during their vows?!
The back of her dress was so beautiful
Oops! I just realized that I didn't post that many pics of the groom - not deliberate, I swear!
