Back from Vaca!!!

Hi lovelies!!! I missed you all so much!! DH and I just got back from vacation yesterday from our week long cruise, and I'm SO glad we went! I am back and refreshed and relaxed :) How is everyone??

Down side.... I got my period the last day of the cruise :( Which means it's now doctor time since that was cycle 12. I'm scared and devastated and wondering what to do now??? Any advice?? TIA <3

Welcome back. I'm glad you had fun on your cruise. Sorry about AF showing but look at it this way, now you can get some help and hopefully get some answers. If you can work with your dr. to find out the problem then you can find a solution and get you on your way to mommyhood. If it has been a year I would look for a good RE, OB/GYN's are limited in thier knowledge and resources. Make an appointment ASAP and bring DH with you so everyone is on the same page. GL sweetie and try not to stress too much

 Hi Kristen,

I'm sorry you've been going through so much this last year. I totally understand you feeling down about it. I would definitely get in touch with your OB/GYN first... hopefully she'll have an RE suggestion for you and you can start to get some answers. Sending hugs your way!

You can actually search online for fertility specialists then you can look up reviews on the ones you find. You're OB might try to talk you in to seeing them first and doing what testing they are able to first. Personally I would rather establish a relationship with an RE and go through the process with them. PLus you can always meet with several fertility specialists and see which one you feel most comfortable with.  You will be seeing a lot of them and this is a very personal journey so it is important to find someone you trust and are comfortable with. If you have any friends that have has difficulty concieving referrals are always good too.

So glad you had a great cruise, I had been thinking of you throughout and hoping you were having a blast! I know it's probably so scary but I think this will be good, finally some answers rather than wondering. I wish I had more advice, but instead I'll keep sending my prayers and positive vibes.

Thank you ladies so much for your responses!! You are all the best, seriously I can't talk to anyone other than DH about this stuff.... I have some friends that are pregnant and I don't want to bug them and they never had to go to an RE. Luckily my good friend referred me to her RE who she has been going to him for years. I'm going to call him today and hopefully set up an appointment ASAP.

Welcome back! I'm SO glad you went on this trip :-) I agree, be optimistic that you can finally be proactive to find out what is going on. You're armed with all the strategies you've tried (boxers, temping, etc) so it should make things easier for the specialist instead of them saying "have you tried basic strategy X?". They'll know you were truly actively trying.
