Backless Shoes

Is there anyone who is wearing or has worn backless shoes on the big day? I'm wondering if anyone as incordinated as i am should stear clear of backless shoes...

I have two pairs of wedding shoes and one pair is backless. I've tried walking in my gown with them on and it is tricky. Your feet kinda slide around and make a "flip-flop" kindof sound... I'm using regular backed shoes for the ceremony and switching to my cuter no-back shoes for pics and reception... HTH!

i'm very clumsy myself and the only time i've been able to pull off wearing backless/strapless heels are when they are kitten heels. very low about 1 inch.

I wear mules/backless shoes MOST of the time; I just don't like enclosed shoes that much.

You could go with something like this -- it has the look/feel of a backless/mule, but has a teensy slingback strap (and if you look at the back of the heel, it has a slight "lip" to it, which might help keep it on the foot a bit better).
