has anyone tried using bare minerals for their wedding day makeup? I'm thinking about it but wonder whether they last as long as the "liquid" makeups.

I used Bare Minerals for my wedding make up. It was fantastic! No running or smudging or getting it on anyone's clothing. We did do a touch up before the reception (i'd already had my make up on for about five or six hours by that time) but she just swooshed on a little foundation across my forehead and then did mineral veil.
And it was a cinch to wash off later than night ;)

My makeup artist used Bare Minerals for all of us for my wedding. It was pretty awesome. It even turned my mom and sister on to Bare Minerals and they use it all the time now.

Is that coupon code for www.bareminerals.com? Or for sephora?

Thanks!

for those of you in the LA area, there's a Bare Minerals store in the Westside Pavilion mall. the last time I was there they told me for every $100 you buy, you get a $10 GC for future purchases..that's pretty awesome.

littlemiss and abattyref, i started a thread about wedding day makeup i didn't even think to check this post. anyway, did you wear any foundation or coverup under the bare minerals? or what sort of base or primer did you use?

i just had my e-session today, i think my makeup turned out fine, but i'm not sure about the whole like 12 hours of they day it will hold up well. thanks for posting tho, i'm feelin more confident using it yet i'm still a bit concerned.. we'll see.

Jenni- Bare Minerals has its own foundation and cover up. It's a powder form, no liquid. And it goes right on your face. Well, I think she used a moisturizer first.

I love it because you cannot even tell you are wearing make-up and for everyday wear it takes five minutes to put on.

I wish I had my pictures back so you could at least see what it looked like.

Yep, same as LittleMiss said. The foundation is in a powder form, so it goes on smoothly and you end up wear less in the end. I definately used a moisturizer first otherwise my skin tends to get flaky. There are some really great primers out there that you can use if you want. I heard a lot of raves for a primer made by Smashbox that you can get at Sephora.

If you want to give it a try, I'd recommend finding a store and having a sales person give you the sales pitch. Have her apply the makeup and wear it all day and see how it feels. Check out their website to see where their stores are. www.bareescentuals.com. You can probably watch their infomercial on the webpage to see a demonstration of the product. I think I actually saw the starter kit for sale at Target for $49... $11 cheaper than Sephora.

Good luck!
