Bed and Breakfast vs Bridal Suite in hotel

So this just came to mind (forgot how and why).. instead of staying in a bridal suite of a hotel, why not stay at a bed and breakfast?? breakfast is included in the price and it looks like it will be tons of space because I have alot of bridesmaids..

The link below is what stole my heart because the BB is right in the town we will be getting married in. Do you think this is a good idea? What am i missing when comparing this to a bridal suite? are there some amenities I am overlooking that can be an issue when opting for a BB?

looking forward to hearing your opinion :-)

I know how this came to mind. : ) You answered another's bride's post about her hotel frustration and you suggested a bread and breakfast! Have you ever stayed at a bed and breakfast and do you plan on just getting ready there the day of or staying overnight? Here in Michigan, they have some beautiful bed and breakfast, but they have to be booked over a year in advance because they go fast. Also, there is a limit to how many peole can stay in a room, so if you were planning on your whole bridal party staying the night, that may not be an option. Every bed and breakfast has different amenities so you should make sure you look into this. I am a huge jacuzzi lover, so that amenity is a must for me! Some of them are more upgraded than others, it just depends on what you are looking for! I do love the coziness of them, the charm and you are made to feel right at home!

I think it would be wonderful, it looks lovely. Several of our guests have chosen B&Bs over hotels for our wedding weekend.

The one you are considering looks gorgeous

THANK YOU!!! LOL!! i was still thinking about it too.. lol thanks! lol

to answer your questions:

Have you ever stayed at a bed and breakfast and do you plan on just getting ready there the day of or staying overnight?--no i havent but i have always wanted to! yea i wanted to stay there overnight with the girls and get ready there the day of and also not having to worry about someone going to get breakfast. also, i would have to reserve multiple rooms at a hotel and they are expensive here close to NYC.. so i figured it was better to go with this one as a cheaper option.

I just want a place with a lot of space because I know we will be going crazy. I am learning from my sisters wedding, even with a bridal suite it was a bit crowded.

i do love the thought of it being cozy and private so we all can spend time together :-)

all the BBs are pretty much in NYC so when i saw there was one in the same town of our wedding i got so excited lol!

so my sis and i went and loved the space! the owner put my name down for the dates and said i can book in january as she doesnt think it will be filled up that fast. I am even thinking of adding more hours to our photography package to see if they can get a few shots of me in from of the place. Would be great!

We got married at a B&B! We rented the whole place out (it was the former governor's mansion in like the 1800s) so the BP had a place to stay for the weekend. I HIGHLY recommend! They had breakfast prepared for us the morning of, we were able to have the rehearsal dinner right there after practice, and there another smaller house on site that some of my out of town family stayed in. Obvioulsy every bed and breakfast will have a different set up but they are very flexible.

yours sounds nice @Sdonisi! Unfortunately the owner said that she doesnt think it would be a good idea to have dinner there after the rehearsal :-/ but we know where we will be having dinner and I will ask a couple of friends to cook a couple of dishes.
