Just wondering if anyone here has done it and what elements they used/how they pulled it off
My FI would love it!! But no, I've never heard of anyone doing it. Sorry.
like using a kegerator?(sp?)
I've never heard of it being done before but there are lots of things you could do.
No, I mean like how people have vineyard inspired weddings. The dude is a homebrewer and we've already decided on making 3 different brews as favors. So we were wondering if anyone has taken it further than that and howso
dluvs those are exactly the kind of ideas I'm looking for! I've thought about wooden beer crates to use for centerpieces but never considered the hops! And you're right, they would be neat to use in the centerpieces
Wooden beer crates is a great idea too!!! I'm glad you like the hops idea :-)
Here's a table with copper linens...I think it is very pretty
I like this combo of copper with blue
And I like these copper bridesmaid dresses too :-)
Oh.. beer, this is my element... you can actually plan a beer tasting meal (depending how large your guest list is). Same thing as with a wine pairing, except its with beer. In fact beer gastronomy is becoming a new art form. There was a whole spread in Food & Wine with meals paired with beer.
If you do this... please don't serve bud, bud light, coors, blue moon, stella, or any of the typical... expand the palette. If you have a great micro brew around you explore it! Rouge, Bells, Omengang, dieu du ciel... are some of my favs just to name a few. There are some fantastic Beliguims you can always explore...
Different beers deserve different glasses (just like with wine) to bring out the taste. So with the tasting... prove your snobbery with the correct glasswear!
Your NY & NJ area... well between Philly & NJ are some AWESOME locals... if you don't have a good beer scene where you are, PM me and I will tell you where to go in Philly! Trust me, we like beer here!
The color you have picked would be gorgeous with copper accents
Thank you! This is fantastic help :) jesandshan we're both beer snobs so if we do have a typical domestic it would be to please my dad (he's a big budweiser guy) because my parents are paying for the bar and rather than a signature drink we'd have a signature beer....we just went to weyerbaucher up in Easton and they've got some great brews
What a cute idea!
Haha, there will be good been AT my wedding :D
after talking it over with the dude we're considering numbering the tables with local breweries
that's a great idea!
I chatted with my sister about this today and she loves the idea of using copper and purple and possibly using Hops with the centerpieces/bouquets
You could have specialty brews (not Corona) as favors or place settings
I am loving this idea. FI and I are kind of beer snobs ourselves. Maybe beer cozies or actual engraved pint glasses for favors?
and you should definitely look into local Beer Gardens for possible reception sites, or even a local mircobrew.
I think, ambers and golds are great colors and would compliment any beer theme!
we're in the NYC area (northern NJ) and considering The Foundry in Long Island City
beer tasting??? a what is this???
