hey girls...what brand make up did you use? open to ideas for makeupthat will last!
I use Makeup Forever HD foundation and powder..it's a splurge, but it's worth it!! For my eyes, I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion and I use drugstore eyeshadows. As long as you invest in an eyeshadow primer, you can get cheap eyeshadows because the primer makes the colors pop and last. I love L'Oreal's Infallible 24-hour eyeshadow and Maybelline has pretty good shadows too. If you want to practice, get the ELF palettes - they run about $10 and you get 100 or so eyeshadow colors. They aren't the best quality, but they are really good for practicing looks.
I'm not a huge fan of lipstick, so I use Avon's Lip Shock and their lip glosses.
ill be doing mary kay because my aunt is a consultant and doing my make up for me
merle norman has given me nothing but compliments! i've used them for many occasions.
Well, I'm a MaryKay consultant so I use a lot of that.. But I also enjoy some Urban Decay and MAC. ;D
This page on my bio has a list of everything I'm using: http://www.projectwedding.com/biography/list/moore807/the-look
Most of it is drugstore cosmetics, with some stila and Clinique stuff. The key is getting some good primer and a good foundation.
Im switching to marykay by the time I get married right now I use mac but im no longer happy with the product.
my make ap artist did the mac factor and she use something,, a spray that would last my make up.
I love benefit cosmetics, urban decay, smashbox and mac (not foundation though), foundation I use is Makeup for ever or revlon photofinish.
I started using Bobbi Brown back in December, and I'm SO happy with it. I've always been against using designer brands, but my super sensitive skin was having a hard time with drug store brands that were actually good.
Yes, I pay a bit more for my makeup...but it lasts for a REALLY long time. I highly suggest at least going to your local Nordstrom's and having them do a free consultation for you. I guarantee you'll love it!
Their foundation doesn't even feel like it's there, and the gel eyeliner is just...awesome :)
I've been using bare minerals and I really like it. I have sensitive skin as well. I used to use Laura Mercier, but found their colors to be a little too yellowish for my skin tone. I really like the bare minerals stuff. I also tried Bobbi Brown, but it gave me a really bad break out.
thanks girls! anyone ever try the "airbrush" concealers?
I also love Makeup Forever HD. It is very natural looking and has an amazing finish. A bit more expensive than most makeup lines but worth it. I buy it at Sephora.
I am going to splurge on Make Up For Ever for my wedding day. I never wear foundation but want to look picture perfect for pictures. I will be using my trusty MAC eyeshadows with Urban Decay primer and going to Sephora for a nice pinky rose lipstick and their best waterproof mascara. I will be doing my own makeup since I will be on a cruise with no makeup artist available AHHHHHH.
I LOVE Nars foundation, lipsticks and eyeshadows. I will stick with my old faithful for my big day, plus the makeup looked nice and polished in my engagment pictures so I'll stick with that. I've heard nothing but good things about Make Up Forever :-)
I went to BareMinerals and had my makeup done for the wedding, and it was a million degrees outside all day and the whole wedding and reception was outdoors- and my makeup looked great all day! So as far as I am concerned, that is a good option!
