black at wedding events?

I'm one of those people... you know, the ones who own 15 black t-shirts but can can tell you the difference between each of them while you look at them like they're nuts. I have a lot of really cute, dressy but casual black clothes, can I wear that to a rehearsal dinner? Or is it a little funeral?

"A" rehearsal dinner or "your" rehearsal dinner? Someone else's: OK Your's: Might want to look a little harder for something, but I wouldn't think it is a definite no.

I think black works, 2 of my BMs wore black dresses to the rehearsal. They were really cute.

I think it's fine either way b/c it's "you." However, it would be an oppurtunity to dress up and get a new pretty outfit too...
totally your call depending on your desire

I personally don't think it's an issue. It's dressy in an age not defined by those rules. I wore black to my shower filled with older people and not a single person seemed to bat an eye.

I ordered four dresses last night so we'll see if some of those work... but one was black haha. I own so many black dresses I need to be more like yeah and not own any. Its just that I had this pretty black feathered headband from Bendel's and I still haven't been able to wear it yet! Thanks ladies!

I think I may be too biased to respond. Like you, I have a million black shirts, but I can tell them all apart and get pissed when I'm looking for a particular one and can't find it. Haha. With that said, I'm wearing a black dress for my rehearsal dinner, my mom bought a black dress that is too "low cut" for her and I snatched it up and now I don't have to buy one. haha. So go for it, its your rehearsal.

I think if ur FI and family is fine with it then it should be fine. But if it makes you feel more at ease maybe you can add spashes of bright color (red, white, fucshia) accesories to jazz up the black. HTH!

I love black!!! but I'm biased as well- since my whole freakin wedding is practically black! Its a rehearsal dinner, IMO black will make you look nice. I think you should wear whatever will make you look and feel good!

- HMM :)
