Blood work in - PCOS - Advise Needed!

I am so glad you all convinced me to push my GYN for a blood test, she kept telling me I didn't have PCOS because I have none of the physical symptoms (except for no ovulation). BUT it turns out I do.

The plan is for me to finish out the provera, once I bleed (hopefully) on day five start another round of 50mg Clomid.  Then on day 14 go see her in the AM and DTD before. I really hope this works!!!!

She wants me to do one more round of clomid before prednezone or metformin.

I'm looking for any and all advise! Should I get Robutissin? what else can/should I do? what should I expect?

What worked for you if you have concieved?

Thanks!

I KNEW IT!!  So glad you demanded the blood tests!! :)  I hope AF comes for you and Clomid does the trick, it seems hit or miss in this group so try to be cautiously optimistic about it!  I would DTD every other day from day 11-25 to make sure you hit your window.  I O-ed SUPER late on my first month of Clomid, like day 25-26 of my cycle!! :)

I would take Guafenesin (either in Robitussin or Mucinex- make sure that is the only active ingredient) to help with your CM, and get Preseed lubricant.  Don't use anything else because other lubes kill the little swimmers.  You will need it to DTD on Clomid, I was dry as the Sahara from that stuff.  I also took a low-dose aspirin every day to help thicken my lining.  But you may want your Dr. to check your lining to see if that is even needed, I guess there is the chance your lining is thick to begin with so you may not need to take it.

Are you going to chart your temps?  I would definitely consider doing that as well as asking for a CD 21 blood draw to see if you O-ed.  If that doesn't show anything, your Dr. should order another one a few days later for you.  That is what mine did.

Wishing you the best of luck, sweetie!!

Just to add on what Allie said - I personally would start the aspirin no matter what your lining looks like now.  My lining was nice and thick before Clomid and after every round it was complete crap afterwards.  The good thing is that it does go back to normal, I had an ultrasound done yesterday and my RE said that it was fine.

I never did any of the Robotussion stuff since I couldn't get ovulating, but I have heard the most success with Preseed.

I hope it works for you...

Thanks Allie! I am really hoping and praying it works too!

Im going to go to Target and get the Robitussin today and order the Preseed online. Im going to hold off on the asprin and ask my dr at my day 14 appointment.

Yes, I am charting.  one BIG chart since January since no AF since then. FX that the provera and clomid works!

What a good idea! I am def going to ask her at my day 14 appointment for a CD21 blood test to see if I O'ed.

Thanks so much!!!!!

You should be fine.  That is just one of the effects that baby aspirin can have on the body.  Even though I took it during Clomid, my lining still was too thin so it is not a guaranteed fix, but just a good thing to try to see if it helps at all.

I have a friend on Clomid who never had any problems with her lining and she didn't even take a baby aspirin...We are all so different! :)

Oh and something to add...If you don't ovulate on this first round of Clomid, PUSH to get on Metformin sooner rather than later.  It is hell to take, but the quicker you get can it in your blood stream the better.  I wish given my situation now, I would have started awhile ago since it can take up to 6 months for the full effects to be in your system.
