boo bachlorette

Well, my bachlorette party was supposed to be me and 9 other girls, all really close to me.  Now, one by one they have all backed out except for two- my maid of honor (who is planning the party), and one of my bridesmaids.   And i know what we were doing was expensive, but reasonable when broken down between all the girls, and now that theres only the 3 of us, it will be too $$$.   I dont want my girls to pay alot, because none of us have alot of money. But its only 2 weeks away, and thats not alot of time to have my moh plan something new, thats alot of pressure on her.   I dont even feel like having a bachlorette party now.  =(

sorry! maybe re-plan it to be local and a nice night out on the town with the girls! you can pre-party at someones house and get nice and tipsy and you wont have to spend money for drinks when you're dancing the night away somewhere? lots of fun can be had that way!

OMG I had this problem too...my B-Party was scheduled for last Saturday and we still did it...I was so stressed out that I didn't care if it was just 3 of us. We found a cheaper hotel and a hot bar/club and had a blast! I went out of town for mine so my friend who lived in that area brought another girl with her so it was just the 4 of us! TOTAL SEX AND THE CITY! I'm glad we went a ahead and went through with it! And we all got out a lot cheaper than what was originally planned for like 7 girls!

I redid all the planning on the morning of before I hit the road so 2 weeks is a lot of time! Let me know if I can help...I may not be in your area but I'm a wiz with the internet and a phone!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that your bachelorette party isn't shaping up the way you thought it would.  At the same time, I'm really glad you posted because I've been feeling a little worried about my bachelorette too - there will only be 4 of us (me, MOH, my FSIL and FI's "cousin"), and we're starting off with a random activity because these girls are not the traditional "let's go to the spa" kind of girls, and didn't want to do anything too adventurous like fishing or Napa wine tasting...we're going to the SF Zoo!  All glammed up hahah.  Granted we're going to a restaurant/club in the evening, but I've been concerned that it'll be weird just the four of us (with two of them being FI's family haha).

Sounds like I'm not alone here, though, in the small bachelorette party boat and that we can still have fun.

I'm sure we'll still have fun it was just a big shock because everybody decided to tell me that they couldnt come after all on the same day, so it was a really depressing afternoon.   My moh assured me that everything will still be great, and we are going to 3 way call this weekend to decide something new (and FUN!) to do just the 3 of us.      Things are getting really close, and i think im starting to crack haha    before, everything was just a date off in the distance, and now, its almost here!

Thanks for calming me down ladies!

What a great MOH - kudos to her for not freaking out and being flexible, and for being so assuring and supportive.  Have a great time at your b-party!

I know what you mean. All six of my BMs were suppose to go to a mini Bach-trip this weekend, but as the date started getting closer, almost everyone backed out. Now It’s me, 2 BMs (older sis & BFF) and four of my BFF’s friends that I barely know and are not invited to my wedding. I’m feeling a bit weird and I actually cried the other nite just thinking about it. BMs have not all been cooperating with anything, not even attending my wedding shower two weeks ago, and now they are not going to my Bach-Trip. However, my sis and BFF say that we are going to have a blast!!!

So don’t worry…you are not the only one going through this. I there with you sister!

There is something to be said for having a small bachelorette party, believe me.  I had 10 girls show up and at the end of the night, I really wished I had just been with my 2 bestest friends all night.  We had a great time, but some girls weren't really into it and left early; then there where a couple girls that were invited out of obligation that I didn't really know that well, who hung out ALL night.  My advice... spare the drama, go with a couple great friends and do something you really enjoy.  Nix all the flaky girls and the planning woes, and go have a great time doing something YOU really want to do.
