Booked a photographer!!
FI and I went to a bridal show over the weekend and also met with a photographer we've been admiring for a while. We "slept on it", so to speak, and decided that we want to book her. I mailed her a check and the contract yesterday.

Seriously. This chick is AWESOME, but photography isn't her main source of income. She just gets business through word-of-mouth. I'm sure that in a couple of years she'll be able to charge 3x this amount---and will be worth every penny! What's really exciting is that we had budgeted $1500 for photography, so now we have an extra $600 to put into something else! That's almost 10% of our budget!!
In other planning news...
We're trying to decide on a church for sure... we've been going back and forth between the church my parents were married in 25+ years ago, or the church that my FI's grandparents are members of. We drove around the one my parents were married in over the weekend and decided that there could be some serious accessibility issues. My mom uses a walker all the time, and could very well need a wheelchair by the time we get married... this church hadn't cleared snow from any of the sidewalks between the handicapped spaces and the doors, but their parking lot was completely cleared--and they hadn't had snow in a couple of weeks. FI's grandparents' church has maybe 12 feet from the parking lot to the door and his grandpa is one of the guys in charge of maintenance so it would definitely be done right. I don't want anyone to slip, fall, or get hurt trying to get into my wedding!
Less than 1 year to go! I feel like I should be doing more... right now I'm pretty apathetic about most of the details. Hopefully the fire will turn on soon and I'll get moving!
