Booking a Stylist -- What to look for?

What should I ask a stylist that I'm booking for a destination wedding? I won't have time to try them out until only a day or so before, which leaves little time to switch horses at the end. Also, I don't have many rec's to go off of! How do I know that their style is a good fit for me?

I would definitely go through their website (if they have one). Otherwise, ask them to send you photos of brides that they have done recently. Good luck!!

I agree with pp. Ask for lots and lots of pictures!

Or ask the stylist if you can send her photos of the hairstyles that you like, and see if she can do any of them.

Also ask if there are travel fees, and ask for the price list. The little stuff can add up!

There are a ton of makeup people listed on this site, though I'm not sure if they're in tahoe.
