Bouquets part deux

Okay ladies,
After much thought I realized perhaps the best idea is to go back to square one.

If I like purple, what other colors would purple look pulled together with. My BM's dresses are navy, the church has red (pick up with that in dark red with lavender?) but my centerpieces are white... I wrestled with lavender vs plum... I also thought about purples and whites or purples and peaches or purples and oranges... nix the purples and just go all white or go crazy with something totally different like all deep burgundy? What are your thoughts??

Please shed some light and opinions, I'm going crazy trying to figure out what will look alright but not terrible, pref fabulous, with lavender and plum ribbon I purchased!

Yes, its sad to see what weighs heavily on the mind of a bride to be...

Just a color test here, how would these various shades look with lavender blooms or even sans purple blooms but just with lavender ribbon?:

And thinking about dark flowers against dark dresses, what if I lined the bouquets with variegated greens to help them stand out?

I personally like the white flower with lavender blooms or with a lavender accent (ribbon). I vote for lavender as a color for the bouquets - you can mix white flowers and lavender stock - it would look really pretty with the navy dresses. I am thinking of something along these lines:

My second vote is for 1 or 6 - a deep burgundy would look lovely with some lavender, but not too much lavender! I still need to figure out how to post photos!

You have inspired me to think about navy dresses for my bridesmaids - the colors for my outdoor ceremony/inside reception wedding are ivory, lavender, and green. I think navy would look very crisp next to this soft palette.

I can imagine 1, 4, 5, and 6 mixed with purple. I also think lavender would mix nicely if your BMs are in navy and your centerpieces are white (totally agree with smilkova's color palette).

Other flowers to think about: iris (purple and yellow), matsumoto aster (purple with a yellow inside), dendrobium orchids (purple and white), lisianthus (purple)...how about something like this.

Lori, you rock my socks off! I think I needed to see pictures like that to get an idea of colors, its just there are so many floral pictures that everytime I started to sift, I felt so overwhelmed!

Smilkova, I thought to go with Navy dresses because they really are a nice neutral without being to heavy or too beige... When I was first thinking of dresses, in typical New Yorker fashion, I thought beige, that's a color right? Haha one my BM's asked me if I was joking or if I had gone mad!

So the whim of the morning, I'm kind of digging 1 or 6, even solo with some greens, what do you ladies think?

As I had posted for smilkova in another post, I'm not very good at this bride thing. I hadn't been planning on getting married actually for another decade or two but then I met my FI... anyhow this is why colors are so hard because its like, "well I don't know! I've never thought about it!!"
I hated working with florists because they were like, "um hello, why don't you know?!" Thanks ladies!
