do guys have to have these? after looking at so many they all just started to look silly to me.
Just like everything else wedding related, it's all personal preference.
It is nice to have some flowers. In Hawaiian Tradition there is a lei exchange. The man wears an open Green Mailie or Ti leaf lei sometimes intertwined with a wonderful smelling white lei. I love this for men.
The woman chooses her mate by the giving of the lei, so the ceremony is started by you giving him a lei and kissing him on both cheeks. Then in turn he gives you one and gives you two kisses on each cheek....

Kukui Nut Lei
Were not having theme either (not really our thing, guys won't like either) If we get them it will be for my FI and our fathers only...
- HMM :)
we're having really simple ones....1 small calla for FI and best man, small stephanotis for 3 ushers and groom's father....
I have also heard of groups doing pocket squares instead of boutonnieres. That way, they still match and look like a wedding party.
