I did I did!!! I love it! My hair is so smooth and straight compared to what it was like before. I have very little frizz now!

Oh I want to try this, it's all I keep hearing about! Kind of expensive though. I went to get my hair done and my stylist said that they charge $130 for the treatment and then you have to pay for the 4 aftercare products on top of that (which she didn't tell me how much they cost). Kind of expensive for me.

I didn't buy any aftercare products and my hair is just as nice! The blowout is a product that washes out every 12 weeks or so which means you need to maintain it if you like the results. For me personally...it's so worth it since I have to straighten my hair everyday and have tons of frizz.

It's a smoothing treatment!

The Brazilian Blowout actually improves the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle.

Results last up to 12 weeks.

Q. How is the Brazilian Blowout different from the Japanese straightening method many people are familiar with?

A. Japanese hair straightening changes the actual structure of the hair.  In doing so, there is an obvious difference between the new hair growth and the hair that has been treated, resulting in a life-long commitment to continuing the straightener or cutting hair off (if client is unhappy with the result).  This service can also leave the hair flat, too straight and with little to no shine or luster. The hair's integrity seems to be compromised, and after a few treatments, the hair appears to be in an unhealthy state.

Never heard of this type of treatment. I normally get my hair relaxed every few months. Boricua_Bride do you relax your hair? I love the dominican blowout.

I'm a hairstylist and personally, at my salon we do the Coppola Keratin Smoothing treatment, not the Brazilian Blow Out or Japanese Straightening. The difference is the Coppola Keratin is smoothing, not straightening, so you can wear your hair wavy or curly without the frizz!

Another reason we do the Coppola Keratin and not the others, it's safer. There are less aldehydes in the Coppola brand, more aldehydes in the Brazilian and Japanese ones.

Thank you for that yellesrendez because I have been thinking about doing the Brazilian blow out but still like to wear my hair curly sometimes too.
