What are you and your FI?
I'm 100% Chinese and my FI is 1/2 Japanese, 1/4 British and 1/4 Russian.
Here's a picture of our "multicultural" family.
I am Ghanian American (parents are from Ghana but I was born in America) and Sean is Irish decent but born in America.
This is us.
I am a total American mutt. haha! I have Swedish, French, German, Irish, and Scottish heritages, but my family on both sides have been in the states since the 1600-1700's, except for my grandfather who's Swedish.
Hisung (pronounced hee-sung) is 100% Korean, from South Korea. :)
I'm black and he is Jewish.
I'm also an "American mutt" and DH is Puerto Rican
I'm Chinese and he's an "American mutt" as well!
I'm Ugandan-American (Parents were born in Uganda... I was born in Ames, Iowa... yeah I know...lol)
FI is a mix of Canadian-French, Irish, Scottish and Italian.
@Mrs.KC - you make a great looking couple.
I am Puerto Rican and my DH is a "European mutt" - he's got polish and some other stuff - lord if I can remember it all! LOL
I am Spanish/Indian/Mexican
He is Dutch/Swedish/Anglo & who knows what the heck else!
Both FI and I are products of interratial relationships. Both our mothers are filipino, and both our fathers are white =) So we're both 1/2 filipino and 1/2 white. In Hawaii, we're considered hapa, which is half/half. It's not a derragatory term here at all.
When people look at us they have no idea what we are. I think it's funny.
My DH is 100% Persian and I'm a mutt, lol! I'm mostly Irish, German and (shocking to most, based on my skin color) American Indian and Mexican. Clearly, I've taken on mostly Irish features, lol!
@its.nicsknack: you and your DH are such a gorgeous couple!
DH is American-born Chinese... his dad is from Canton, his mom is from Hainan.
I'm as white as you can get. My mom's side came from England in the 1700s. My dad's side came from Flanders in the 1600s. (DH says that's gosh-darn-diddly excitin' <--- gotta be a Simpsons fan to get it)
Fi is Mexican, French and Italian (MOM is Mexican and Italian and Dad is Mexican and French). I'm African american, French, Haitian, Indian and Puerto Rican. My mom is AFA, Haitian and Puerto Rican and my dad is French, AFA, and Indian...FI and i wonder what to tell our children when they say "what am I?" We've agreed that "a child of God that was made of love" is the best answer!
wow mrslemus that's a long list.
I'm Eupopean mutt... Irish scottish english and I think a couple other things (german maybe) I can't really remember. My FI is Mexican.
I am mostly French and a wee bit Welsh .... My mom is French (some family came over from france in the early 1900's ) as well as French Canadian / my dad is French and part Welsh ....
