Bridal Shower Gift help

Hey ladies! I'm sorry for my absence off and on - work keeps me busy and they're keeping an eye on personal things more these days than they used to. But I have a question that I know you all can help me with!

DH's cousin is getting married this July, and the Bridal Shower is coming up on May 4th. The couple aren't registered ... anywhere for anything!!! I'm okay with giving cash for a wedding gift but not for a bridal shower gift.

Please, throw me some ideas for a bridal shower gift! The couple live in a very small one bedroom apartment with a small dog. So that could be why they didn't register for anything but I want the bride to unwrap something fun/special at her shower!

TIA

Hey lady! Nice to see you on the boards. I didn't register anywhere for my bridal shower either, but on my invitation I listed my favorite color, size of undies, bra and lingerie and that I loved candles, lotions, bubble bath and my favorite scent. So I got gift cards for Victoria Secrets, Frederick's of Hollywood and Bath and Body Works. I got candles from my favorite candle store, Yankee, lingerie in my favorite color and a whole lot of lotion, bubble bath and body spray from Victoria Secret and Bath and body works to last me for two years. Lol. Since she didn't register, I would go for a nice set from Bath and Body Works or Victoria Secrets. You can also never go wrong with a gift card! Or a monogram robe. My sister got that for her bridal shower and she loved it!

Hey Ashley! I almost bought one of these for a friends shower last summer, a decorative wine box. There are plenty just like it in all price ranges on ETSY.

My absolute favourite shower gift is a candle set.

I did them for FI's sister and for one of my friends when they got married. Both times have had the room in tears!!!
You buy candles in various colors and each color has a little tag attached to them to tell the bride-to-be what they are for - pink for the first valentines day, yellow for their first pregnancy etc etc.
I will go through my files and find the words for you

I just found a similar thing online....I tied each set together and attached the relevant poem to them

The wedding poem reads:

A box of candles that come in a pair,
of all different colors, for you two to share.

The white ones burn first, they are wrapped in white lace,
to celebrate the first night in your new chosen place.

The mauve pair is smaller, and thinner,
they burn with your first company over for dinner.

There are candles to burn Christmas Eve, before bed,
your first Christmas married, that?s why they are red.

The navy candles are for your first fight;
use them to burn when making up all night.

Pink candles will set the mood and pave the way
for your very first married Valentine?s Day.

Now when your first year of marriage is through,
the Ivory anniversary pair will light for you two.

By this time we hope maybe, just maybe,
you could burn the yellow ones on the birth of your baby.

And just when you thought you could put these away;
take the light blue ones for your fifth anniversary day.

Now just one pair left for the big "25",
the anniversary pair that will keep your love alive.

So congratulations both of you on the start of your "forever",
may the two of you always be happy together.

And burn these candles just like I said,
but please don?t forget...blow them out before bed!

Sorry. I forgot to link to the company that sells a set
http://www.keystonecandle.com/Wedding_Poem_Candle_Set.htm

I bought FSIL candlesticks to go with hers, and I didn't buy a set like this because they already lived together so the white ones didnt work so I bought the candles at a local store

Oh, Nicki's idea reminded me of an ornamanet collection we got from my Mom's best friend. DH and I both love it. I Googled it for a gift idea just now and had no idea the set was such a big deal. It's a collection of 12 ornamanets that each symbolize something. I found it online here but you might be able to find it somewhere cheaper. They are called the Bride's Tree Collection.

These are lovely ideas! A spa basket is a nice way for the bride-to-be to pamper herself. Also, lingerie is nice as well as a special photo album or scrap book. I didn't have a separate registry for my shower, just my regular wedding registry. I didn't know that people did both. For a bridal shower, it's a special time to celebrate her so I like to get something special that's just for her and then maybe something for the couple.

@SunnyD - they don't have a registry at all. I did one registry for shower and wedding but this couple doesn't have anything.

Thank you for all the suggestions! This really helps! :)
