bridal shower hostess gift question

hi all -

i have a question about who should get hostess gifts for my bridal shower.

my mom and sister (moh) are paying for the room rental and lunch for 25.  they're flying to la from florida and getting a hotel room so that alone is $$$.

my sister has asked my 3 other bridesmaids to contribute either the cake, the door prizes or the ideas for games.  they'll each bring in a bottle of champagne for the mimosas.

as most of you know, i have been unemployed for 3 months so i'm on a tight budget.  :(  do all the girls get a gift or just my mom and sister?

thanks!

Thanks for bringing this up! I hadn't thought about this at all. I am very tight on money also. What were you planning to give them?

i was thinking a gift certificate for a mani/pedi for them back home.  those are about $40 each.

no clue what to get the bridesmaids since i'm already spending about $75 each for their BM gifts.

Honestly, I didn't give them gifts- just a nice thank you with a picture of us at the shower. (Hand made card) Other then that, I am waiting to give gifts at the rehearsal dinner...

- HMM :)

Since you are already giving them a bm gift, I would just write a Thank You card!! Something simple, but you let them know that you appreciate them. I would get your mom and sister the certificate (they will be coming a long way for this special event and have dedicated their time to planning it out.

I didn't plan on giving them anything for the shower except a nice thank you... But once I found out what the theme of the shower was I gave them something that I had planned to give them in their BM gift at the rehearsal.  I gave them each a robe (cost was $15each).  They didn't expect anything but a thank you card, but I thought it was nice to recognize all they had done so far.  Either way they will still love you. :)
