Any brides getting married or having a reception there?
These are some photos we have tagged on PW of Brooklyn Bridge Park
And this is PW vendor review page for the Dumbo Loft!
i have seen pics and have seen the place. I wanted to no more info on it. Like how did u come down the aisle, what about music etc.
Ahh I see. You might get a better response by posting in the NYC brides group, or by searching the venue and seeing if you can find any PW brides' bios that talk about the venues. Good luck!
my friend got married there last summer (had her reception at ReBar). she created the aisle with rose petals and they entered from the left from the pathway. you can kind of see the orange rose petals in this picture. they also had speakers for the music (that white box looking thing on a stand on the left side of this picture).
Thanks so much. I was wondering about the speakers. Did she have music and how were the ppl around. I know its a public park but were they nice about u giys wanting the private space
they had music from an ipod or CD player hooked up to the speakers. the microphone was also hooked up to the speakers so that everyone could hear the ceremony.
the people in the park were fine. they were very respectful and watched quietly from a distance while the ceremony was going on.
the thing that you should really be prepared for is that the train going across the manhattan bridge can be loud! just go with the flow and be ready to wait a few mins as the train passes.
and make sure you get the right permits to use the park space....we had considered getting married in brooklyn bridge park and there are a lot of things you need to fill out and you have to get permission to have your pictures taken there but if you're on the other side of the bridge there are no restrictions, it's so stupid
Ok thanks. We got a permit for central but now were changing but its only 25. Do u need a sound permit for BBP or did they just bring the speakers
