bug spray

I don't know if you've given this any thought, but you might.  Even though our wedding was during September and relatively cool, some of my BM's and probably some guests were getting lots of mosquito bites.  It really made me wish I had thought to bring bug spray.  Just something to think about!  :)

Another option is a bug bomb!

Our venue set off 'bug bombs' 2 hours and 1 hour before the ceremony and bugs were not a problem. ..

I think MB's got the right idea, nobody wants to wear "Alaskan Cologne" to a wedding, lol. If it fits your theme you could always line the perimeter with citronella yard torches too.

Yeah, I hate the way the spray smells.  The torches def wouldn't have gone w/ our venue, but I wonder if the bug bomb thing could have been an option...oh well...coulda woulda shoulda :)

We're using citronella candles in hanging lanterns to ward off the bugs. Hopefully that works :-)

We always burned citronella oil and used avon skin so soft.  It keeps florida mosqitos and horseflies off and is non toxic to you.  Best combo ever.  I am having tiki torches at my venue, but it is on the beach and mosquitos should not be too bad.

for a more elegant wedding use citronella candles in lanters making a perimenter of the ceremony site.  the candles closer to the aisle could be regular candles to avoid the citronella smell.  i recommend asking your wedding planner if you have one or the event personel at the venue.  surely they can tell you what they have done or have seen done that worked and didnt.  tap into your resources.

I think it all depend where and when you are doing the wedding ceremony.  Mine was in May - very hot and humid- no need for bug spray ....we needed water.
