Caffeine?

Have any of you cut caffeine out of your diet? I have a pop a day, but it doesn't have caffeine. But I did recently start drinking coffee. I was reading that some research says it can make it harder to conceive.

I typically don't drink caffeine unless I have a diet coke when we got out to dinner. We have decaf coke at home and I don't drink coffee or tea ever.

I drink a lot of tea, it'd be easy to switch to decaf, I probably would'nt even notice. I just like the taste of tea

I work at a coffee stand part time and my manager just had her second and never cut back on the coffee and she has at least 2 americanos a day.  Her two boys are just fine.

i average about 2 cups/morning....maybe i can make them "half-caff" when i'm preggers...

honestly, i don't ever notice the caffeine effect....but i just really like the "ritual" of making and enjoying a warm cup of coffee in the mornings!

from everything I've read about caffeine and conceiving, it seems like it's all about moderation. They say 8oz. a day is perfectly fine. I think when they advise to start cutting back on your coffee they are referring to people who drink it ALL day long. I'm pretty sure you'd have to be taking in BIG amounts for it to truly hurt your fertility. Reducing caffeine in your diet is never a bad idea so if it's not something you'll miss then go ahead and cut it out, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary for TTC

I agree with Laura.  I have read exactly what she wrote a bunch of times.  I dont drink coffee or tea and I only have diet pop and can easily dswitch to decaf if it came down to it.

I drank 2 cups of coffee every morning and then sweet tea most of the day (really healthy, i know :) -- the morning I found out I was pregnant, I stopped.  This has been the hardest thing and for the first couple of days I had horrible headaches!  So--if you're big caffine drinkers--I would def. suggest atleast cutting back so when you do get your BFP, it won't be so hard.
