Hi ladies I'm starting to contact bakeries for cake quotes and would like to know where you landed in this area. If you would be so kind can you tell me
- how many tiers and flavors
- fondant or butter cream
- how many people did it feed
- price
- what city are you in
Thanks so much!!

Eva's Bakery charges $150 base and $3 per serving. So if you want a cake for 50 it would be about $300 These are Butter creme frosting

I am in South Western NH

I should add that I am making my own mini- cake and cupcakes. I am using buttercreme and fondant decorations. Cost $30 The reason it is costing that much is I am buying tools to make the decorations. If I were just using a box mix it would be $10-$20

That's a good idea IdoAgain. We're also making our own cake (well a friend is), so we only need to pay for ingrediants. Awesome way to save money.

I got my cake made from a wonderful lady that lives in my home town. She did a wonderful job and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

I had 5 tiers, it was vanilla and red velvet. We chose buttercream, it feed 165ish people, it cost a rounded estimates of $650ish. I am from around Houston, Texas :)

how many tiers and flavors - I had a 3 tier but only the top part was real. That was our cake cutt/anni cake. We actually had 2 1/2 sheets that fed 250 people. We had plenty! We had spice cake, lemon, and regualr white. No filling. Our tiered cake was fondant but the sheets we served were buttercream, that's really a personal preference, in our case we thought the buttercream was much yummier!

- fondant or butter cream - Fondant will always be more expensive, so if you don't care for the taste, don't use it unless your design demands it. (Some designs need the heavier icing for support)

- how many people did it feed - 250

- price - We paid $175, but I do believe ours was cheaper since it was a private bakery. I also remember that cupcakes were more expensive, about $2 per cupcake.
- what city are you in - Iowa

- how many tiers and flavors - I had three tiers and she made me a huge sheet cake to start cutting into for the guest. I had one flavor filling, raspberry. It was delicious.
- fondant or butter cream - buttercream
- how many people did it feed - 150
- price - $480.00. It wouldn't have cost that much if I didn't insist on having large roses. She could have made the tiers narrow and used rose buds, but I didn't want that. Lol.
- what city are you in - Detroit but I purchased my cake in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Where are you getting married? Our cake was included in the price of our food through a bakery in Staten Island that our venue uses frequently.

Our cake was buttercream, fed over 100 people (I didn't ask for the leftovers, which I could kick myself for because our cake was so good) and was three tiers.

We added the leaves to the cake, as the fondant leaves would have made our cake over $700 and we could not afford that.

HTH and I can't wait to see your cake!!!
